“Mr. Trump stands as an exceptionally polarizing figure.”

Seib is FOS! Mr. Trump is a determined man who is doing what he promised those of us who voted for him he would do. That’s not “polarizing,” it’s refreshing! GFY Gerry!

These articles never — never — get at the real issue. George W Bush was an “extremely polarizing figure.” George Bush Sr., for crying out loud, was an “extremely polarizing figure” — remember how the Left bitterly attacked him for a “dirty” campaign against Dukakis. And, of course, Reagan was an “extremely polarizing figure.” Every freaking Republican President of the past 60 years, other than perhaps Ford, was an “extremely polarizing figure.”

Why? Because the Dems refuse to play ball. When a Republican is in office, they attack and attack and attack and attack and attack and attack. They and their stooges in the media MAKE the Republican president a polarizing figure. Its their goal. And repeat the lie often enough . . . .

We just have to ignore the ignorant, like Hollywood, and concentrate of rebuilding America. America was on a destruct road and King Obama was the worst terrorists the world has ever known. President Trump will restore most of what America should have been. The insane will never understand and who really gives a shi!.

Donald Trump is not polarizing. He is extremely popular among real American citizens who don’t live in the bicoastal rats’ nests.

The ‘polarizing’ is coming from the insane and irrational, sometimes comical, bleats these a$$holes put out.

He hasn’t lost any support from those who understand he’s doing exactly what he promised he’d do if elected.

This is the new meme Trump is polarizing.

They talked about it on NPR this morning too.

I LOVE the polarizing he is doing. It needs to be done. It is a cleansing. Calling Pelosi incompetent is only a part of it.

I think that if he can get an income tax cut in place, and people see their paychecks grow a bit due to a reduction in withholding, it will go a long ways in softening some people’s attitudes. If they see another $50 or $100 or more, available for household spending each month, possibly they will see that he really IS on the side of Americans.

Trump says he wants to do what’s best for ALL Americans, and that is what he’s doing.

Obama never even pretended to have conservative’s best interests at heart. He placed the interests of foreigners and illegals first, and everything else was for the radical Left.

If the WSJ had any intelligence and objectivity, they—not I—would be pointing this out.

>>he could bust apart traditional partisan alliances and use his populist approach to create new kinds of political coalitions.

This isn’t news. We’ve seen it brewing for a year. We were allegedly a nation with these deep ideological divides between D and R, yet a populist President made them forget 40 years of animosity to start fighting him, AND US, because they consider us to be their enemy.

The politician class has to go. It is the natural enemy of a Republic founded on a representative form of government. They prove that they do not represent us.

He’s given the GOP in Congress every opportunity to get done everything they “ promised” to get elected

There wouldn’t be any significant polarization if the GOP congress just carried out the people’s will - just outvoted obstructionist democrats

And if they had the back of the POTUS who gave them the power to do it

It was possible, not so long ago, to imagine Donald Trump to be such an unconventional figure that he could bust apart traditional partisan alliances and use his populist approach to create new kinds of political coalitions.

Sorry but it's never been possible to imagine that. There is such a divide between the parties as to make it impossible, and Trump is a polarizing figure in his own right. I was never under any illusions that Trump could work across the aisle.

I have always been concerned with the Republicans working with Trump and not impeding his agenda, and I would say those concerns have proven to be well founded.
