Trump: Obama is behind leaks
Arutz Sheva ^ | 2/28/17 | David Rosenberg

President Trump reportedly approved checks on administration aides' cell phones as leaks to press continue.

President Donald Trump has accused his predecessor, Barack Obama, of instigating a series of leaks within the administration and the raucous town hall meetings facing Republican lawmakers across the country.

The White House has faced a wave of leaks to the media since inauguration day more than a month ago, as the administration works to fill hundreds of remaining vacancies, leaving temporary Obama administration holdovers in place.

As the Trump administration looks to plug the leaks, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer ordered staffers to submit their cellular devices for examination, to ensure they had not made unauthorized contacts with media outlets.

Multiple sources told CNN Monday night that this heightened surveillance was approved by President Trump, who they say is outraged over the leaks.

Spicer denied that claim, however, saying the president “did not sign off or even know what I did. That is not accurate.”

Speaking with Fox News on Monday, President Trump suggested that his predecessor, President Obama, was responsible for both the recent flood of leaks and disruptions of town hall meetings held by Republican lawmakers.

“I think he is behind it,” said Trump. “I also think it is politics, that’s the way it is.”

“I think that President Obama is behind it because his people are certainly behind it. And some of the leaks possibly come from that group, which are really serious because they are very bad in terms of national security. But I also understand that is politics. In terms of him being behind things, that's politics. And it will probably continue."

Firing is not a remedy.

Indictment and jail for a few days during the arrest process is the least that is necessary. There were laws broken that must be enforced up to and including death as punishment.

Charging them with a crime is and was my 1st course of action.Canning them would be a result of the charge..Let it play out after that.

——Death is a bit over the top.——

The removal of death as a punishment is a reason there are lapses in the national ability to keep secrets. The Flynn leak was of national highest order and should be reason for general round up of all involved including the publisher of the first media outlet to make the leak.

Ok...How about Death or Mumba ??

Three explorers were traveling around Africa when they were captured by a native tribe. and are to be punished.
The chief asked one man, “Death or Mumba?”

To this the first explorer responded, “I’d rather not die, so I’ll take Mumba.”

At this, all the men in the tribe brutally rape the explorer, but he lives.

The chief then asked the second explorer, “Death or Mumba?” The man says, “I can live with the shame of it, I’ll take Mumba.”

So then all the tribal men do the same to him .

The chief asks the third man, “Death or Mumba?”

The man says, “I’d rather die than go through that, so I’ll take death.”

The chief proclaims to his tribe the third explorer’s fate:

“DEATH BY MUMBA!”

“Why has not Trump blanket fired all Obama holdovers???”

Perhaps because the GOP controlled Senate is not approving his senior advisor and cabinet picks quickly. Until he can get his own people in the leadership positions it will be Obama holdovers controlling the bureaucracy.

Would Harry Reid as Senate leader have permitted the Republicans to delay and obstruct cabinet and senior executive appointments? The answer is no. Reid wouldn’t have needed to take any action because the GOP members of the Senate would not have fought the way the Democrats are doing. They are first members of the “Club”.

Please be patient with the President. He has his plate full and has to proceed slowly. He is steadily making progress.

Please be patient with the President.

I will be but when he makes a comment (suggest you go back and read it) the patience I will show goes to ZERO.

It is like giving a new broke horse "his head" to give ObucketOshit one ounce of "well it is just politics and it will continue". President Trump needs to shut ObucketOshit DOWN and the shadow government that he is leading with it NOW. Pull back on the reins and keep it tight, no slack.

Sure, the promises he has made (and there are many) will work themselves out but he needs to fight his enemies NOW and not give them an ounce of slack.

Better vacancies and things not getting done than the sabotage. I think these people are physically dangerous. Someone among these fanatics might well take it into his head to do more than leak or fabricate information especially among the Mohammedans and there are surely some of those.

Eliminate their jobs. Move each to a broom closet with a chair and a school desk. No one thinks about it but Civil Service is probably the one institution that has done the most to keep the totalitarian project on a steady path. It has to be eliminated right along with eliminating ALL the Agencies and Departments but four. The only agencies that should be kept are the ones that President Washington saw fit to have- State, Treasury, War, and Attorney General.

Killing the agencies and the Civil Service and the 17th Amendment is a minimum necessary to regain the Constitutional Republic. Anything less buys a hiatus of shorter or longer duration at best in the march to the Total State. Repealing the 16th and 19th would put firmer ground under a reclaimed Republic.

The Civil Service was instituted to combat the evils of the Spoils System that saw the crooks ejected and replaced with more crooks with every change of Presidential Party. The fact that that needed to be changed is evidence that the bureaucracy was far too large already for long continuation of the Republic but the Spoils System at least kept the bureaucrats from becoming entrenched to grow to be the major power in the nation.

Eliminating thousands of positions at the FBI, CIA, Pentagon, Homeland Security ? That’s where the leaks are coming from. Have no secretaries, maids, kitchen staff at the White House ?

Where do you get the money to pay them while you also pay the new people actually doing their jobs ?

You couldn’t let hem do their jobs, because they would then come into contact with info you don’t want leaked. That means you need to pay MORE people to actually do the jobs of those you side-lined. For limited numbers of people, that’s doable, but you need a mole hunt to narrow things down first.

Or the really guilty ones might think they got away with it, the mole hunt is over, and they continue leaking.

The smart way to do it would be to create a hundred different versions of every document distributed, each one with minor differences in font, punctuation, spacing between words or sentences or paragraphs, and keep track of who got each copy. Then you know who leaked a document by which version surfaces. Phone calls are tougher and require warrants to track private phone usage. You could ask people to voluntarily give their phone records, and then exile any who refuse.

You need to at least get your people you trust in place to even determine how the downsizing can be done. There are people at the other end of those phones that all those staffers spend their time on — the public, local government bureaucrats, etc. To avoid chaos, things need to be shut down in an orderly fashion, which takes time.

There may be no downsizing desired at the FBI, NSA, CIA, Homeland Security, etc. which is where some of these leaks obviously originate, so simply shutting down those agencies isn’t a way of stopping leaks.

Although their jobs may ultimately go away, there may be a large majority of those workers that are not ideological, just went into government because it was a good job. I would ask those “good people” to squeal on their fellow employees if they know anything about leaks, foot dragging, obstruction, etc. Co-workers usually know how their fellows are behaving and misbehaving. Offer them rewards for turning in the bad apples. Even if they know their job is going away, a bonus in the meantime is still going to entice them.

Just clean house and be done. The Democrats manage to do that every time. Of course they have a whole crew ready to go before the inauguration.
