A pending bill in the Illinois House that would create sanctuary zones for undocumented immigrants drew demonstrators from both sides of the issue Saturday to downtown Springfield.
Rosanna Pulido of Springfield, founder of The Illinois Minuteman Project, organized a noon rally at the Abraham Lincoln statue at Second Street and Capitol Avenue. The rally was in opposition to HB 426, which would allow schools, medical treatment and health care facilities and places of worship deny access to state and local law enforcement officers who are enforcing immigration laws, unless the officers have a court-issued warrant.
"It's absolutely ridiculous," ( Chicagolady) Pulido said. "I think the biggest question we have for Governor Rauner and any legislator who would want to pass this bill is: Does making it easier for illegal aliens to stay in Illinois improve the lives of Illinois residents?"

Don’t be silly, dueling was outlawed in the 19th century, and besides who the heck would want to demonstrate it? Of all the infernal...(Dan Akroyd whispers in my ear) Oh, I see.
Never mind.

Kudos to you, chicagolady. Well done.
Thanks!!
LOL!!
Well done and a long dusty rutted road you have traveled with the MMP and still fighting the good fight.
My MMP participation in ‘04 I would not trade for anything under the sun. Spent 6 months setting up the October “Dance On The Nueces Strip” and over 800 Patriots showed up that month.
Just think, 13 years later and our borders are still a screwed up mess. I quit hunting illegals in ‘14 when it was apparent to our group that Obama was just waiting to throw us under the jail.
Time for a forensic cost analysis not only on the federal level but what it’s costing individual states, cities, towns and countys on what sanctuary cities and this globalist open borders approach foisted on US by the so called progressives in both political partys are costing US tax payers.
Some call them illegals, others may call them undocumented. What they are not, are citizens of this country Why are US individual citizens expected to cover the costs which run into the billions these non citizens are creating after they get into this country ? When that good money could be used for infrastructure or used to help US citizens in need ?
Just how much are they costing US ?
Good job!
BTW, in the article, the anti-hate group says they “will not tolerate people” who (what it boils down to) want immigration law enforced. Now, that is just ripe!
I’m beginning to think that it is time for conservatives to simply withdraw their consent to be governed by liberals.
And if the liberals attempt to impose governing against consent by using deadly force, then to reply in kind.
How many ICE agents attended the rally and arrested people, who said that they are illegal aliens? I hope at least 10 agents did that.
Well, with that many people, there is also the possibility of “Spot bleeding”.....
