Anyone taking odds?

I wager that they'll trim around the edges, making no substantive changes, and tell us all how they either did their best, or did just what they said that they would do.

But I'm only basing my skepticism on history.

I am saying, a LOT of Americans are going to rebel, against the GOP if we just throw out Obamacare.

A lot.

Obamacare needs to be replaced, but we had done nothing to fix our healthcare mess, before it, so it was already broken.

Trump seems to be the only person, in either party, who is saying the things we need to do.

I think Cruz should shut up, and sit down. Frankly.

Paul Ryan lied to Hannity...out and out lied...

Hopefully people will get behind Rand Paul’s bill, take away barkycare completely and make sure we can cross state lines to get the cheapest and best healthcare for us...the American Citizens...

McTurtle doesn’t have the spine to spit on anything so he is as always worthless...

Cut out all the sub regulations...like mandatory....the 30 hour work week....funding abortions....contraceptives.

Obamacare was just a new Medicaid program...looking at the numbers.....paid for by you and me. Same folks who were going to the emergency room.....where NO ONE was turned away.

“if you pass repeal without replace you’ll never pass replace, because they will never ever agree on what the bill should be.”

EXACTLY!

So if you attempt to “repeal and replace” you will never repeal for the same reason.

Best to REPEAL.

They’re basically going to fix the flaws and put a more conservative box around it,” insisted former Republican House Speaker John Boehner of Ohio at a healthcare conference in Orlando.

If that's what they want to call it, that's fine, but since it's ALL flaws, or at least 90%, 'fixing the flaws' is the same as repeal.

They could always vote to repeal it in four years time and declare victory...

I'm sure there are lots of payoffs and benefits going around in both houses to keep the inflated health insurance costs. Trump needs to work the phones!

I’m betting they don’t want to repeal Obamacare.
I’m also betting it will cost them dearly if they fail to do so.

The most important thing to eliminate, Burgess said, was the individual mandate.

And that's what needed to be done immediately, so that the penalty for 2016 would be gone in time for this April's filing deadline.

The Congress should've had a mandate repeal bill ready for Trump to sign on Jan. 20, before the tax filing season got underway.

And they could've done it by simple majority using budget reconciliation, which they DID do in late 2015, and Obama vetoed it in Jan. 2016.

Trump did what he could, but his EO is not enough to kill the penalty. Professional tax preparers cannot sign returns not in compliance with the law as it is on the books, otherwise they violate professional ethics rules and the perjury line on the return.

If you're liable for the penalty and think it might get repealed for 2016 taxes, about the only thing you can do is take the automatic extension, if it doesn't get repealed by April.

Obama care is simply communism. It is forcing people at the barrel of a gun to pay for other people’s health insurance.
We want that aspect REPEALED!!!! Then if you can’t buy your own GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM AND WAIT 6 hours! Obtain an education— then a job or start a business and buy your own damned insurance. The constitution does NOT force us to buy cars for people or HEALTH INSURANCE! BUY YOU OWN!

President Trump should threaten to make Congress and their staff by health insurance through Obamacare. Congress engaged in outright fraud to escape a requirement that everyone on Capitol Hill buy individual health insurance through the Affordable Care Act, and the White House played along, says a government watchdog who calls the congressional Obamacare dodge an under-reported scandal.

Never underestimate Congress’s ability to make a bad situation worse. I expect that will happen in this case as well.

Can any one name a federal program that provides free or subsidized benefits that has ever been repealed?

But I'm only basing my skepticism on history.

Congressional history, then yes.

Trump History? Not a chance there won't be a repeal.

Trump will veto anything he doesn't like.

Renege on what? the Republicans never intended to cut off their major source of income in the first place.Obamacare is their bread and butter. It is free money for the pols. I said from the beginning, if Trump is going to be effective in bringing back the Republic he is going to have to rule by fiat and decree because he will never get a Congress that wants any of that, Republican, Democrat or anything else. Trump can trim aggressively and shrink the footprint of government, perhaps a whole lot, but if he does not do the things Congress will NOT do i.e. abolish- not trim or rationalize- the Agencies, all of them over and above the original 4 Departments of the original Cabinet, then as soon as he is gone from the scene they will all come roaring back and their re-advent will be much more catastrophic for Americans than just letting them continue as they are. America in 20 years will a Bureaucratic Totalitarianism, no matter what else Trump does if he does not decree the Agencies out of existence and ban their staff from further government employment.

Yes, by all means - let those Americans who take care of themselves pay for those who don’t.

It’s only simple justice that I pay your medical bills for you.

Plus my own health insurance bills, of course.
