How did a country smaller than El Salvador with a population of eight million and few natural resources become a military superpower within a few decades?
In The Weapon Wizards: How Israel Became a High-Tech Military Superpower (St. Martin's Press, 2017), authors Yaakov Katz and Amir Bohbot explain this remarkable phenomenon. Calling on their experience as Israel Defense Forces (IDF) veterans and seasoned national security analysts, they present an intriguing and engrossing account of Israel's defense capabilities development. From a country lacking bullets and aircraft, Israel transformed itself into one of the most effective militaries in the world and the sixth-largest arms exporter globally. Today, Western powers, including the U.S., France, the UK, Russia and China, all come to Israel to learn and establish joint ventures.

“How Israel Became a High-Tech Military Superpower”
1) To quote the zombies, “BRAINS!”
2) Necessity is the mother of Invention.
Combine the 2, and it is an unbeatable combination.
“Sheesh ! Think what they could have done if not bothered by the local retards, Huh ???”
Most modern computer chips are designed in Israel.
Cheap desalinization (on the order of about $0.60/1,000 gallons) was invented in Israel.
Let Israel have 20 years of true peace, and the innovations will spin everyone’s head.
“Imagine if it were to occupy 20X its current land and have greater access to vital natural resources.”
“Bill Clinton gave it to them.”
“sorry. I misread the title. I thought it was China.”
Long before Bill Clinton, the Israelis were masters of electronic warfare. For example, when they bought F-16s, they’d buy them for the airframes and engines, which they couldn’t afford a factory for - but they’d only order the basic plane and then rip out our electronics and replace them with theirs - and this was in the early 1980s.
They also were the ONLY country to ever shoot down a Mig-25, and they did it with brains (by jamming the ground-to-aircraft radar and communications links, using a recon plane as bait, and then leaping on it quick with an F-15 armed with a custom-made (by them) air-to-air missile with a rocket booster. When they did that, we cancelled a $250 million project to build a hypersonic missile to shoot the Mig down.
China? Hahahahahahahahahaha! China buys (or steals) high tech from Israel, not the other way around.
You are either woefully misinformed, or purposely blind. I’m hoping that it is the former - there’s no crime in being under-/misinformed; that can be remedied easily enough by reading. The other one...eh, not so much.
Brilliant deduction!
“Uh, youre using some of that right now “
The list of what German Jewry contributed to so-called ‘Western civilization’ would/could fill a book longer than most would care to read. Contrast that with the contributions of xxxxx CENSORED......
Wow, that came out of left field.
The original poster misread the article title and thought that it was about how “China”, not Israel, became a military super-power.
Given the posters original assumption that the article was about “China” becoming a military super power, the comment was made that it became so thanks to Bill Clinton.
In the very next post, by the same poster, he/she realizes the error and “fesses” up to it.
The poster never said/meant Bill Clinton gave the Israelis what they needed to become a military super power.
I normally let these things go, but your last paragraph to the original poster seemed a little ironic given that it seems that you did not catch the gist of posts # 5 and #6.
The other information you have on Israel is spot on and has a lot of information I was not aware of, thanks for posting.
correct Sergio. Thank you.
And now in puppy size.
Few things concentrate the mind like being surrounded by enemies intent on your slaughter.
Israel plays the long game - The Talpiot Project teaches soldiers and the military how to think - Read this and be amazed!
