The newly elected chair of the Democratic National Committee, Tom Perez, said Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press" that the Democratic Party's message will be carried out in part through lawsuits against President Trump.
Perez, the former secretary of labor under President Obama, made the comment after host Chuck Todd asked if he is content with the Democratic Party being known as the party of "no."
"Are you comfortable with the Democrats being known as the party of no?'" Todd asked.
Perez side-stepped the question, arguing the Democratic Party is the "party of opportunity and inclusion."
"We are going to communicate our message, whether it is through lawsuits like the state attorneys general did to stop the Muslim ban," Perez said. "Whether it is through actions like at the polls yesterday in Delaware and hopefully in April in congressional district six right here in Georgia."
Perez went on to list what the party message will be, citing wage increases, greater health care access, and more opportunity for the middle class.
Perez was elected DNC chair in Atlanta on Saturday. He named Rep. Keith Ellison (D., Minn.) to serve as his deputy chair, in part to assuage progressive Democrats who wanted Ellison to be elected chairman and are unhappy with the outcome.
“party of opportunity and inclusion”
For non-Whites and probably Asians too. “
Maybe for the lesser-educated Asians but the Japanese and Chinese don’t need any help. Well, unless the universities stop knocking them down to give places to people whose scholastic ability does not really qualify them to be in college.
Remember that Soros also knows there will be at least 62 million votes for us. Last time they calculated how much fraud to commit, underestimating our side’s votes. This time, they will be upping their estimates to figure in this number and more.
Truly, what I don’t understand is why Soros can’t be identified as a legitimate target, just as he has in many other countries. His assets need to be RICO’d and those of his sons, as well.
I wonder if the Feds could send in so many agents that they could set up shop right outside (or near) the exit door, and vet each one as they are released.
Can’t win by regular means, so piss away everyone’s money suing the government.
Yeah, that’ll win LOTS of votes.
32 states have Republicans as their Secretary of State cleaning up voter rolls. 18 or so will be an easier job for the VP......forget California, NY, and MA
That’s the ACLU method.
IOW . . . . We can't beat you at the ballot box, but we can beat you in the courts. (We own the judges!)
Bold leadership,
The Republican (battered wife syndrome) party, that thinks it can be good enough to avoid the Democrat's (read that media et al) verbal and physical abuse.
Media: If there's verbal or physical abuse, it's (her) their fault.
Boy...talk about bitter clingers...
Now is the time for tort reform.
Some suits are Freedom-of-information/open records suits.
Trump’s administration should be so open that lawyers are not necessary in ALL agencies except intelligence and FBI informants.
That leaves law suits based on the substance of executive decisions. This is one area where tort reform is necessary.
Of course, Tort Reform is very much needed in health care and other parts of society. Congress should move quickly on Tort Reform in all areas of society.
Ah, but that jerk Perez should figure he’s gonna be up against a legal genius.....AG Sessions.
Aint gonna be easy.
No, I think it was character assassination through a united MSM, which had more credibility in 2008 then now.
Interesting point.
Because elections haven’t been working out too well for them lately...
That sounds hopeful, MHT.
One thing this past election taught me is how many RINOs and Dem moles run as Republicans. Where I grew up and lived most of my life, Pennsylvania has had many Republican governors/administrations. They never did anything about Phila or Pittsburgh to mitigate their flagrantly illegal election activities and voter registration rolls.
I’m in FL now, and cite Jeb Bush and ole Charlie Crist as additional examples of “Republican” Governors who never addressed the issue. That tells me there may be Republican Governors who perhaps don’t want to clean it up.
So while I am hopeful that maybe now it will be different, I remain somewhat skeptical that it can/will be done sufficiently to ensure honest results.
They have so much money, organizations, and foaming at the mouth diehards relentlessly working against us that I am fairly certain that even the midterms, let alone 2020, will be violent and close. Hope I’m wrong!!!
When you cant win through normal means, declare the Peoples Judiciocracy of North America. The snowflake national chorus has a concert today.
For Some reason when I read your post I thought of the Judicial Dystopia portrayed in the Judge Dreed Comics and Movies.
Yes, I agree that was definitely a major factor. Gov. Palin also didn’t have the resources, infrastructure, and power contacts that President Trump had from the start. I think that was a significant difference about which she made him aware years ago when the two of them went out for lunch. I remember thinking to myself at the time that she was probably telling him a lot of specifics about what was done to her, that he should be prepared to face if he chose to run.
“I wonder if this is where Soros donations to Attorney General races pays dividends”.
You make an excellent point. We’ll see.
