President Trump early Sunday tweeted that the race for Democratic National Committee (DNC) chairman was rigged.
Bernie's guy, like Bernie himself, never had a chance. Clinton demanded Perez! Trump added.
Former Labor Secretary Tom Perez on Saturday defeated Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) to become the next DNC chairman in a win for centrist Democrats.
The race, which split along establishment-grassroots lines, in many ways mirrored the divisive 2016 presidential primary between Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Hillary Clinton.
Sanders and many of his allies backed Ellison, the first-ever Muslim elected to Congress and a star on the left.
Congratulations to Thomas Perez, who has just been named Chairman of the DNC. I could not be happier for him, or for the Republican Party! Trump tweeted on Saturday, sparking a response from the new DNC chairman.

——Meet them in the battlefield-—
The attitude must be hardened to “slay them on the battlefield”
Eliminating the enemy army in the field must be the objective. It is too late for mamby pamby kumbaya turn the other cheek niceness.
Huh? I'm going to assume you meant this for me. It doesn't matter if Trump has rock hard evidence that the thing was "rigged" or not. It simply has nothing to do with his job as POTUS and does not rise to the importance of a 6:30 AM Tweet from my President. For me, enough is enough already.
These tweets are the equivalent of a magician using slight of hand. They keep his enemies attacking stuff that doesn’t matter.
You don’t want Trump discussing internal Dem corruption? It’s offense, it’s how you win, it’s what the Left has successfully been doing for years with the media.
You don’t get it. And I don’t mean that in an insulting way.
“Just that damn tweeting about crap that doesn’t make a hooey.”
I couldn’t disagree more. The more activist elements of the Dem party are livid that Ellison was defeated. They feel like their party learned nothing from the last election. This is reinforcing the fact that the Dems are owned by elitist-insiders who align with popular left-leaning issues when it suits them. Trump may ere on the side of speaking his mind...but that’s exactly what we’ve needed for so long. When he starts calling out little cripple boys in wheelchairs...meh....then we can get worried.
Trump, stirring the pot. Just love it!!
I love my President’s tweets. They are the first things I look for when I wake up or check online during the day.
His tweets are the only way to share his thoughts with we the people, unfiltered, except for stepping up to a podium.
I want to know how he feels and what he thinks about virtually everything. I’ve never felt such a personal connection, not to mention emotional investment, in my POTUS.
God Bless President Trump and may he continue to share his tweets with all of us for the next eight years while he serves in the White House and MAGA!!!!
“that have nothing to do with the office”
That’s where you are wrong. These tweets are not just idle commentary. They are pure information warfare.
If you don’t get the purpose of this tweet I find it hard to believe that you understand how Trump won the election.
Perez, welcome to the Trump world and our world.
Congratulations to Thomas Perez, who has just been named Chairman of the DNC. I could not be happier for him, or for the Republican Party! Trump tweeted on Saturday, sparking a response from the new DNC chairman.”
We haven't had a fighter in the White House since Reagan. At least Newt and Andrew Breitbart could throw a few punches at liberals.
This is a blood sport that the ‘nice guys’ always lose. You have your whole life to review the political establishment to know this is true.
You want to “play nice” with the battle ahead of us? Sorry, life does work that way.
You sound like someone who would have stopped General Washington at the beginning of the Revolutionary War.
Trump enjoys trolling the Left, rubbing their faces in it, and then sitting back, taking it all in as his targets foam at the mouth in spittle-drenched outrage.
A bit childish? Beneath the office of the presidency? Perhaps. But it's fun.
Speaking of how the rats love victims.
How is Weiner’s rehab going?
Activist elements are always angry about something but they couldn’t win the primaries for Sanders for a good reason, because they don’t speak for the majority of the party.
Only losers are upset with Trump’s tweeting.
I remember how much the liberal media were in love with John McCain during the primaries in 2008 and many of us here were saying that he was our best chance to win because the media liked him and Democrats could get along with him. Once he was nominated however, they did a total 180 and savaged him during the general election.
Well I'm sick of the GOP always bending the knee and always being the "nice guys" that cross the aisle with hat in hand.
I'm all in with Donald Trump. The man knows what he is doing. He won the election with virtually the entire world against him. When I say the world, I mean the world. The only people in the world who are for President Trump are those Americans in the middle classes who want their country back. The upper classes already have theirs and don't give a crap about those in the middle. The lower classes are taken care of with government transfer payments and similarly don't care about those in the middle.
If President Trump is going to succeed, he needs to keep fighting and his supporters need to back him up all the way and not "go wobbly" to quote the great Margaret Thatcher.
Why can you not see this? The Democrats and RINOs have done this to us for decades, leaving no conservative as president until, dare I say, “Trump.” Reagan was the last, and everyone constantly tried to take him out.
Again only losers are upset with Trump’s tweets.
Good, then leave to the Democrats.
