Appearing at CPAC 2017, Senator Ted Cruz, R-Texas (A, 97%) blasted a recent 4th Circuit Court decision upholding a Maryland “assault weapon” ban as “nuts.”
Speaking with Conservative Review Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin, the Texas senator discussed a broad range of topics including term limits on members of Congress, the nomination of Judge Gorsuch to the Supreme Court, and the rogue federal judiciary.
Cruz criticized the Fourth Circuit court decision limiting the individual’s Second Amendment right to own a firearm.
“The Fourth Circuit used to be the most conservative court in the country,” Cruz said. “The Fourth Circuit now, they’ve invented this new test for the Second Amendment.”

ordinary citizens so that we can defend ourselves against any enemy

Were a citizen so equipped to use such weapons wantonly, local police and sheriff departments would be hopelessly outmatched unless they, too, upgraded--as many are now doing. Another remedy would be for states' National Guard units to be stationed near enough for rapid deployment.
By the same token, one should wonder of all the people suffering from Cruz Derangement Syndrome should suck it up now.

Well, if you believe that firing on your own troops is a viable strategy . . . it still cracks me up, though. Clinton is defeated, and Sanders supporters united to defeat Trump. Trump is victorious, and Trump supporters unite to defeat Cruz. hahaha
Personally, I feel Cruz made some mistakes, but he realizes them now and is back on the reservation. I don’t think he warrants attack.
This article could have been written by Donald J. Trump who proposed Cruz for Sen. Maj. Leader in the next sentence and the CDS lamebrains would still slash with their claws and growl like cats.
Ted, how about saying to the Fourth Circuit “Fix this, or Congress will under Article Three and cut you clowns out of the decision loop completely o this subject”.
