The Hollowoodies are threatening to “strike” because of PRESIDENT Trump’s election and Americans are threatening to boycott the crap the Hollowoodies are producing. I like both ideas.

Conservatives need to start pushing back. TRUMP does. He can’t be alone.

It's been 10 years since I've been inside a movie theater. When Hollywood puts something out that I suspect might be worthwhile (which happens,on average, about once a year) I borrow the DVD from my local library. If,after having viewed the DVD,I find that it's worth owning I buy the DVD or bluray.

That's the extent of my relationship with Hollywood over the last 10 years.

And during that period I've bought about a half dozen DVDs/blurays.

Gack, I wish these people would shut up already. I actually like Casey Affleck. I thought his performance in Manchester By the Sea was superb. Now this.

Time to come up with an "entertainments tax" to redistribute hollywood's wealth.

I can almost claim the same, but I had to see Avatar in 3d Imax.

Best version of Pocahontas yet...

It is time for the 62.9 million Americans, who voted for Donald Trump, to use their considerable economic power.

The only movie I’ve seen at a theatre in the past 10 years was, last month, “Hacksaw Ridge” directed by conservative Mel Gibson.

A terrific movie, by the way.

Movie theaters are gross. Back in the 70s and a few times in the 80s. Once or twice in the 90’s and the last time I went movies was Titanic and The Passion. That’s it. I do watch selected older movies on DVD. Mostly classic stuff from the silent movies up onto fairly recent. Never new releases. I buy used.

I doubt many of these threatening to boycott have been there in decades. There will be Trump bashing. But I go a step further. I won’t buy an DVD’s either. Not much coming out is of much interest to me anyway to be quite honest.

Perhaps the Millenials enjoy the Trump bashing, but most of them live in their parent’s basement with little money and lots of student loans. On the other hand, by comparison the 62 million middle Americans have significant resources and disposable income.

I read an article yesterday wherein one Oscar voting judge stated on the record that Meryl Streep wasn’t likely to get an Oscar until she did her Trump-bashing speech. Now because of that he feels she will get the nod.

Enough! We need to stop handing these people OUR money.

If it turns into a “Trump bashing affair”

“If” it happens? A roomful of lefty ham actors and attention whores might act out?

What? Would we softies give up our leisure and entertainment to make a statement?

You bet.

Kellogg, Nordstrom’s, Macy, Streep movies, etc. Easy losses.

The two theaters nearest to me closed down, so the problem kind of took care of itself.

Seriously, who watches this drek?

Celebrities are not on my radar. I occasionally see one or so in restaurants. Their presence is akin to seeing the waiter approach your table or passersby.

If they produce something entertaining, I’m glad. But, watching a movie for a couple of hours and then driving home does not effect my life, nor does it give me some reason for living, or change my outlook.

Frankly, volunteer work does far more to enlighten me than celebrities’ opinions. Meeting people who have given up everything to help, cure, love, and engage others does a great deal to humble me. Those who create and produce products, scientific and engineering programs, and computer assisted surgeries using their enormous talent and intellect are worth praising.

I believe listening to someone who has zero effect in life other than performing an act is a waste of my time.

Certain movies have to be seen regardless of politics. Guardians of the Galaxy, Lego Batman, Star Wars. But they never get good awards no matter how much box office they do.
