This “milo” thing and his supporters (before and after the news) just proves the point that most “conservatives” are in fact closet leftists. Most (many??) freepers are humanist leftists.
There is no such thing as the conservative movement. They are all a bunch of sell out hacks.
No, at best it "proves" that when faced with empirical evidence that does not fit into your personal worldview, you will "declare victory and run away" rather than participate in a substantive discussion.
Your judgement is harsh but not wrong. Genuine conservativism is only possible through the salvation of Christ.
You are just wrong. No other way to say it. It is quite possible to find redeeming qualities in someone even though they engage in activities you do not support. I see nothing leftist in that, not does it take away from my conservatism. God tells us to love the sinner, but reject the sin. Every gay person I knew, knew exactly how I felt about their involvement in homosexuality.

Then you should scurry over to DU where you will be most welcome to contribute.

No, I don’t believe that for a second. It would be closer to the truth to posit that the conservative movement is quite fragmented at this time.
No, there shouldn't be, not in the "movement" aspect. "Movements" imply an incursion of a novel, untried, interloping idea which seeks to overturn the status quo.
Conservatism IS the status quo in a sane society and nation.
