An average of 400 “criminal illegal immigrants” are being released every 10 days by the newly elected sheriff in Arizona’s most populous county, federal law enforcement sources tell Judicial Watch, many of them violent offenders. It’s part of Maricopa County Sheriff Paul Penzone’s new policy to protect illegal aliens, even those who have committed serious state crimes, from deportation. Under a longtime partnership between the county and the feds, the Phoenix field office of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was notified when “aliens unlawfully present with additional Arizona charges” were released from the Maricopa County Jail, which is one of the nation’s largest with a population of about 8,000. That ended when Penzone, who refers to illegal immigrants as “guests,” took office this year and, though he formally announced the change last week, it was put into practice much earlier.

Trump and Jeff Sessions will be going after the current Maricopa County Sheriff Paul Penzone for NOT ENFORCING the immigrations laws.
400 every 10 days will be 2500 in two months. Someone high profile will be a crime victim, and the elected bozo will ride a rail out of town.
Hey, the people voted for this guy, so when these people commit a crime, you’re right, there will be one big law suit.
He looks like Sheriff Alex Romero on Bates Motel. I hope he enjoys being a one term Sheriff since he’s infecting his county with criminals, and raising the potential for crime.

It's not just dereliction. Since they were under arrest for federal, state or local charges, he can't just release bunches of them at a time without being complicit in their crimes including illegal presence, but also the crimes they were arrested for.
Foreseeably thousands of lawsuits from every conceivable direction, not to mention accessory after the fact, and of course, treason. He must have some great protection via the cartels and/or “deep state.”
Is one to believe that the Feds can’t come in & take them in custody? What’s wrong with that picture?

If Penzone or one of his relatives are harmed by an illegal alien criminal, the needle on my “give a crap” meter will not budge.
Phoenix is more liberal than people think! We have that idiot Stanton as our mayor, and as you all have noticed, McCain keeps getting re-elected and Penzone beat Arpaio.
When she was staying with me before she and her family moved to Portland, she and I used to watch that show. We both were talking sh!t about what a effed up little crazy puppy Norman is and how “that pool was wayyyyy to damned deep to be a good thing!”..... ha ha....
I would suggest that anyone whose family is harmed by the direct actions of this piece of garbage pay him a visit and “share your pain” with him....

If I.C.E places a detainer on an illegal, the sheriff may not release the illegal. Under law, the sheriff must detain the illegal until ICE takes custody.
From this article, it appears that ICE is not issuing enough detainers.
The justice department should take over any county jail that refuses to cooperate with immigration laws. Just like they take over for civil
Rights violations.
Why stop there? Release every single prisoner and show how liberal you are. Everyone deserves a third and fourth chance, right?
I want to see this law breaking sheriff behind bars.
