There’s a certain amount of truth to that. If one could snap their fingers and make all illegals disappear overnight you can imagine what would happen to the real estate rental market in Southern California.

The economy has accomodated and integrated the illegals over the last thirty years and any quick removal of a substantial number would mean dislocations to quite a few regional economies.

Still, I say, Head ‘Em Up! and Move ‘Em Out!.

I would say that the California economy is built on illegal immigration. But the US economy? Not so much.

They are usually crammed in with others. I doubt a major movement would hve much effect on the housing market. Might affect the stock prices of the Walmarts, etc but again, many of the shops that cater to illegals are the mom and pop ones within the community”

You know, the ones who don’t report their income in the first place

Oregon and Washington are seriously looking at rent control to bring down prices. Giving illegals the Big Vamoose would create instant supply and bring costs for housing down.
