General Mattis uses the term Radical Political Islam. He notes that more Muslims have been killed by Radical Political Islam than Americans.
Islam is not monolithic, just as Protestants are not all the same.
Since the military has allies and fights side by side with muslims fighting the Radicals such as the Muslim Brotherhood, I think they are reluctant to paint all of the Islamic world, with the same brush.
Mattis is adamant that he believes that Radical Political Isalam needs to be stamped out, but that doesn’t include every muslim in the world.
Every muslim in the world is not a terrorist.
And you don’t try to stamp out every muslim in the world.
But every muslim in the world needs to find a new religion. Because islam is going down.
