I cannot understand the good people of Arizona electing this nothing. I wish he would be honest and switch his party registration to Democratic.
Open primaries. We run good people against him, but he always wins.

I’ve seen postings over the years from FReepers in AZ that explain this.
AZ has an open primary and Dems, knowing McCain is a “maverick” Republican that acts like a Dem, vote for him to keep a Dem-friendly in the Senate.
