BISMARCK, N.D. Federal and state officials announced plans Wednesday to accelerate cleanup at a camp in southern North Dakota that has housed hundreds and sometimes thousands of Dakota Access pipeline opponents.
Officials fear the camp near the Cannonball River will soon flood due to warm weather and rapid snowmelt. They worry trash and debris left behind by people who have left in recent weeks might pollute the Missouri River and other nearby waterways.
With the amount of people that have been out there and the amount of estimated waste and trash out there, there is a good chance it will end up in the river if it is not cleaned up, Corps spokesman Capt. Ryan Hignight said.
Local and federal officials estimate theres enough trash and debris in the camp to fill about 2,500 pickup trucks. Garbage ranges from trash to building debris to human waste, according to Morton County Emergency Manager Tom Doering.....
Were really fighting the clock, Doering said Wednesday. Theres more garbage down there than anybody anticipated.....

There are probably some leaders who stood out. That includes any congresscritters.
Call them up and put them “front and center.”
This is not a problem. This is a stark example of government incompetence. One must get a few D8 Caterpillars out their. Pile the debris up and put some of that good Canadian Oil on it. Light the matches and watch you problem ascend into the air as CO2 which is plant food. As an added bonus their might be a liberal environmentalist protestors body in the debris.
In all seriousness, the clean up would be easy. Pile it up and burn it. I well remember when my grandfather cleared land in West Texas for the farm he managed. Just like I said. those D8 Cats will do the job and what those protestors left is very small compared to two square miles of land. He had cleared Mesquite and rocks for two square miles.
They need to do this now. Once the ground is thawed and wet it is hard to operate the big machines.
Have they found any bodies in the garbage yet?
Send S0r0$ the bill.
They are use to living in mom’s basement and having her do all the cleaning so they are lost when it comes to cleaning up after themselves.
They have pits full of $hit. How is that cleaned up??
It’s thawed and wet now, water six inches deep, garbage floating all over. It’s a health hazard.

Yes human waste.
See posts 26 and 28.
The Plains Indians moved around a lot.
They had to.
They had no idea about sanitation.
After a couple of weeks in one place, they started getting sick.
So, they moved on.
That's so cute, you think that Lefties follow rules!
Crude oil, (cheaper than diesel) and a match. Then cover it with dirt.
Pigs.
Take 1000 tons of your own trash and excrement, turn it into a toxic waste dump, insist on living in it, and refuse to vacate in order to impede the necessary emergency clean-up lest the whole latrine gets dumped into the rivers by heavy Spring rains-—
and call yourself pro-environment.
It’s like the feminists calling themselves pro-woman.
