His coverage of Bush on a subject where he claimed something was true, even though his evidence provided was flubbed. He never retracted and said the story was still true even though he couldn’t provide one bit of evidence to prove it.
I forget if it was Bush’s military service or what now...

The best part of that was, here was a situation where someone was creating false documents, in the middle of a presidential campaign, in order to impugn a sitting president (a felony, by the way). A story, to your average, red-blooded American journalist, that would be FAR juicier than the original story would have been - and the media just could not have cared less. It was extremely telling.
