Welfare amounts to $500,000,000,000.00 dollars a year.
If Trump could cut it by 75%, that would be a huge savings. I think it could be done. Only those who cannot work should be allowed to get Welfare. Even then, family members should be called on to chip in and pay some to support their family members. If mom can’t work, then the family should help in some way.
The government has no obligation to pick up the full tab. Technically, it has no obligation to pay anything at all.
To work with the GOP Congress in his second term, Clinton “triangulated” on welfare and forced workfare into the equation. You had to try to work to keep your welfare.
