Steve Bannon, the White House's top political strategist, is showing no signs of changing how the Trump administration engages the national media, even as the president's team is finding itself increasingly defending itself from the press.
In a new interview, Bannon said the media remain exceptionally hostile toward this White House, but that it doesn't matter.
"The opposition party is completely focused on trying to destroy Trump and his administration," Bannon told CNN. "It's not going to happen."
When asked if he would like to see the White House's relationship with the press improve, Bannon said, "I could care less."

Almost everyone screws up this phrase.
The correct wording is, “I could NOT care less.”
“I believe in the Constitution and its First Amendment at the top.
The media should be free to publish and spread their stuff about Donald Trump and Steve Bannon, Kellyane Conway and the list goes on.”
Agreed.
They just don’t need to be let in the house though.
Push them outside. Specifically all the #FAKENEWS groups like CNN, NBC, ABC, NYT, WAPO, etc. For example, don’t let them into the WH Press Briefings. Kick them out!
Why let the Opposition Party in knowing that their sole purpose is the utter destruction of you and your family? No way! Kick them out.
Steve Bannon is a perfect political advisor to President Trump.
Whenever I hear the President, I hear him speaking for me.
Whenever I hear Steve Bannon, I hear him speaking with me.
Steve Bannon is a perfect political advisor to President Trump.
Whenever I hear the President, I hear him speaking for me.
Whenever I hear Steve Bannon, I hear him speaking with me.
We should bring back the fairness doctrine! We could finally get our side of the arguments on the air.
You got the message. Nothing else matters.
Does he man he couldnt care less? Because right now hes saying he does care.
;-) One of those oddities of the english language.
“I could care less. Dialing it down. Down. OK. Now I care a bit less than before.”
Effin’ A
Love it
As in “go axe your mother?” (O.J. joke.)
How about, “I COULD care less, but I’m feeling generous today.” :)
He means he cares little and could care even less.
Not the same as “couldn’t care less”.
Take Bannon at his word. See post #14.
At least a little.
“I could care less and I couldnt care less have become synonymous in the modern day lexicon.”
Because we be ignant.
If Bannon is the top strategist, why didn’t he advise Trump to reverse the “discrimination” edicts for federal contractors?
Right there with you Mr. Bannon! I don’t care what the media or the grammar Nazis think!
Half the people posting to your thread sound like the media, totally focusing on some stupid phrase when they all know damn well what the message was.
Very odd.
Purge them, don’t merge with them!
I agree with Steve!
After what happened to Palin and many of my favorite leaders, I don’t care what they say because I know that it is nothing but pure lies anyway.
Agree!
