'Just like Russia': Trump renews fight with intelligence agencies amid leaks

President Trump on Wednesday suggested the U.S. intelligence community may be “illegally” leaking sensitive information to hurt his administration, effectively ending a brief detente with agencies he previously accused of working against him.

Trump addressed the situation of government leaks Wednesday afternoon during his joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

"Intelligence, papers are being leaked," Trump said. "Things are being leaked. It's a criminal action -- criminal act -- and it's been going on for a long time. Before me. But now it's really going on."

He later emphasized that the "documents and papers" were "illegally -- I stress that -- illegally leaked."

Oh dear, suddenly the content of the leaked documents is important to the Socialist Progs, not who criminally leaked them!

correction to the media: its a war between Trump’s legal team and whatever bad actors may exist at any intel agencies who are illegally leaking information. To suggest that the intel agencies are at war with Trump would be like suggesting that the CIA was at war with Reagan/Bush because Aldrich Ames was leaking classified info to the Russians.

Am I typical Deplorable? ENOUGH!! I can't help but think the questions about Flynn would've not reached this point if US Senate 'pubs didn't enable the dems to delay the confirmation of AG Jeff Sessions.

It would be so sweet to see at least one of the Intel leakers taken away in handcuffs and arrested for Sedition.

People needs to be charged with federal felonies and SENT TO PRISON.....

Only ENFORCEMENT will stop the leaking of Intel & compromising of methods...

Maybe this is like the Venona Project when the Intel Community didn’t trust the White House.

Enough!! President Trump must order his staff to root out Obama appointees at the State Department, CIA, FBI, and NSA, find out who is leaking sensitive information, prosecute them and fire the rest. They will destroy his presidency given the chance. Don’t give them the chance.

When Roman Legions failed, they were decimated. That is they were put into a group and one was chosen by lot to be executed the other others, so as to punish the group.

Obviously we can't execute CIA or NSA or State Department members and we can't severely punish them without due process.

However, Trump and the new Agency Heads can fire people.

Machiavelli told the Prince that after he captures a town, he should round up the leaders and kill them in an open display of his new power. After the initial blood bath, he should not kill any others, unless the openly betray him. Those that were against the prince will assume that their secret is safe, since they were not executed. The Prince needs to create situations where those that had opposed him are given a chance to publicly issue their support for the Prince as a test of their loyalty. If they support the Prince, they should treated as loyal subjects until proven otherwise.

So it should be with the spies at NSA, CIA, State Dept. Fire many, many of them, perhaps put them in groups of 10 and ask the group to rank the honesty and integrity of each. Fire those with the lowest rankings (maybe lowest or two lowest per group). Give all those who remain an opportunity to publicly give their support to the new agency head (Prince). Then (in the words of Regan) trust but verify.

This is what draining the swamp will entail. I hope that Trump carries through.

I agree. They need to prosecute those who are leaking. And the first step is to revoke their security clearances when caught leaking.

Trump needs to quietly direct Sessions to arrest a dozen staffers and charge them with violations of the espionage act. They want to be looking at 10+ years in the slammer and they should.

All these leaks are a major distraction which result in a slow down of Trump’s strategic planning schedule to MAGA. Two very important programs have been put on a backburner for later implementation, namely (1) modernizing of America’s outdated infrastructure and (2) making America energy independent. These two programs will create millions of well-paying, long-lasting jobs and it was the prospect of jobs that placed DJT in the WH. The two programs would also establish America as the foremost, strongest and wealthiest nation on earth and assure Trump’s re-election in 2020. America would become the wealthiest nation because it will become the most important supplier of the world’s energy to both friend and foe and energy is the world’s life blood.(How do you think OPEC got wealthy and influential?)

would be like suggesting that the CIA was at war with Reagan/Bush because Aldrich Ames was leaking classified info to the Russians.

I trust the Russians more than I do the presstitutes that are attacking our government.

The leakers from inside the US gov't that are leaking information must be found and imprisoned for life if possible.

The DNC hacks were from an idiot named Posesta who was using GMAIL and used a PASSWORD that was p@ssw)rd. There is NO comparison between the DNC hacks and the releasing of classified material from inside the government.
