Maybe the corrupt Democrats running the most fiscally irresponsible state in the union will divert the money to shore up the state pension fund. Because of idiots like Mooonbeam and former Gov. Gray Davis, they’re way over 500 billion (yes, with a B) short in state and municipal pension funding.

CA has the 7th largest economy in the world. Why would they need help from the lesser fly-over country folks?
So California’s incompetence and irresponsibility is now gonna get them rewarded? They’ll just waste that money too. Jerry Brown and most of the Cal legislature should be led away in federal handcuffs.

Because they are financially incompetent socialists. They spend far more than they collect in taxes. The fantasy that they send more money to the feds than they get back in services has them making threats they can't back up. Remove all of the federal support and CA would collapse. No electricity across states lines. No water across state lines. Interstates closed at the new national border. No access to US airspace or rail traffic. No postal service. Phone, internet, radio and TV shutdown until they negotiate a new place as a sovereign country. No military protection. Immediate exit of US DoD activities from the new foreign soil. It's going to be a real party. Seriously, the idiots have not thought the process through.
