The Washington Post is reporting that the Director of the Secret Service has resigned. Joseph P. Clancy was brought back from the private sector in 2014 by former President Barack Obama.
Clancy was brought on after the agency became bogged down with security breaches and employee misconduct.
From the Washington Post:
On Tuesday, House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) said Clancy’s departure provides an opportunity to put an outsider atop the Service.
“A fresh set of eyes and new perspective is needed to restore the prestige and status expected of such an elite agency,” he said in a statement.
The Daily Caller received the resignation letter that Clancy sent out to employees at the Secret Service.
From the Daily Caller:
“The success of the Secret Service is achieved with great sacrifice by all of you and your families,” Clancy wrote in a letter to Secret Service staff members. “Please accept my sincere and heartfelt thanks for your dedication to our mission. You have inspired me. My hope was that I could return your gifts of inspiration with some measure of good for the Secret Service.”
I sure as hell would not want an Obama appointee protecting my life.
I haven’t seen Sheriff Clarke lately. I sure hope he lands a job in the Trump administration......Secret Service or U.S. Marshals or SOMETHING to do with law enforcement and security. I hope to see Dr. Gorka sitting beside the President as his new national security advisor.

This guy was called out of retirement by Obama to oversee that agency after all the sex and drugs and loss of equipment scandals.
He probably is eager to get back to retirement.
