The Trump administration has decided to keep President Barack Obama’s top advocate for gay rights issues at the State Department in defiance of Christian groups who called for his immediate expulsion, Foreign Policy has learned.
Randy Berry, the Special Envoy for the Human Rights of LGBTI Persons, is continuing “in his role under the current administration,” a State Department spokesperson said on Monday. The move marks the latest surprise decision by President Donald Trump on gay rights as he juggles the agenda of his staunchly conservative cabinet and top aides, and his cosmopolitan, New York-bred daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner.

I can’t speak for the other poster, but yeah, for faithful, committed Christians, obedience to God’s laws *IS* national security. That was also true for Israel.
We cannot go on defying God and expect Him not to bring even more consequences on the Republic. Turning our backs on God is precisely why the nation is in the condition it is in.
I’m hoping this is a short term thing for Trump, to take the issue off the table while other items are dealt with. But ultimately (soon), we need to stand for something as a nation, and that something is not the Sodomite agenda.
Meanwhile, every Christian with children can do their part by separating themselves from the government school system, and helping/encouraging their friends to do the same.
The Obama made this issue practically the number one issue pushed by the state dept. It is pure cultural imperialism. The US should not be pushing the homosexual agenda on other countries.

Whoa...are you serious? Trump has so far shown that he is willing to pursue his election promises - that is a massive improvement from the recent R status quo - but how can you make that kind of statement 3 weeks into his administration??

First of all you are right. However, we have an idiot NEW TO FR by the way who is saying to not reelect Trump not even ONE month in office. That is why I have a problem with that idiot and called him out on it. We are going to have a lot of trolls running around with their heads chopped off in the name of seeming conservative. I want to make sure that the ones posting don’t have an ulterior motive. If this was year 2 I’d be questioning this a bit more, but we are at over 3 weeks. I want to see how this all plays out before cutting the political head off of President Trump, but that is just me.
I am a strong supporter of recognizing the freedoms and liberties of gays and lesbians. If their liberties are curtailed then so may those of heterosexuals like myself be curtailed and stolen by the government.

I didn’t read his comment as saying that any particular person should not support Trump on this particular issue. He said that there would be consequences. That is true, there would be consequences. The evangelical Christian bloc is not going to embrace the Sodomite agenda. This is not about Trump. It is about whether the resources of the government are used to support those who are targeting Christians.
