Another fact that may bear upon the reading of the Bible is the melting pot that America has become. Many languages are spoken in the Catholic Church, and even less of those languages are read in available texts that are not published in all parts of the country.
It's a plot by the Public School System.
I can remember when LATIN was taught in schools.
I had assumed (I know...) that it was so anyone with a NON-Catholic background could understand what was going on in a TRADITIONAL Catholic MASS.
