Sketch released in Union City Girl Scout cookie stand robbery

Union City police released a sketch Friday and asked the public to help them catch a man who robbed a 12-year-old Girl Scout and her mother at gunpoint while they were selling cookies in a Safeway parking lot.

The suspect is described as a male, 16 to 19 years old, with a thin build and between 5 feet 4 and 5 feet 6 inches tall

Well that narrows it down. Not one other distinguishing feature?

Actually the suspect is described on the artist’s sketch as a black male. Relevant to identifying the perp, maybe?

Isn't it fascinating that the description leaves out any mention of the number one characteristic that police use every day to describe a suspect;

"Suspect is a 6 foot, 200 lb. white male..."
"Suspect is a 6 foot, 200 lb. black male..."
"Suspect is a 6 foot, 200 lb. Asian male..."

And the sketch has been doctored to make race an ambiguous thing all together. But what would you expect from a story like this out of San Francisco?

3) Selling cookies is a sign of racial oppression
