I might get excited if the report came from a credible source, which clearly excludes the NYT and WaPo.

Nine current and former senior government officials told the Post that Flynn specifically discussed the looming sanctions with the Russian ambassador, with some saying he encouraged Russia not to overreact to the sanctions because Trump might take a different route.

Who are these people?

Couple of things: if this is true about Flynn, I find it amazing how quickly the conversation was exposed. Hillary took a few years to come to Congress and answer questions with lot of I don’t recall, I don’t remember statements. It takes years to expose the Dems of anything.

I truly believe someone is listening to every conversation of Trump’s people and feeding it to Obama’s people and then getting the yes or no, to leak to the news.

Flynn, being a Democrat, never made me comfortable with his appointment in Trump’s cabinet. This is all over the news tonight.

Flynn allowed himself to be boxed in by the MSM narrative that if he talked to the Russians before the inauguration, that it meant the Russians were interfering in the election or something.

He needs to be more Trumpian.

Be in your face - say “Hell yes I talked with the Russian ambassador, as a professional in US national security I am constantly talking to and monitoring the attitudes of representatives of our allies, opponents and enemies around the world whenever I have the opportunity. Screw you, MSM.”

Either this is complete fiction or somebody is leaking intelligence intercepts. Either way, it is alleged there is a leak, so it’s pretty simple: the President should direct Comey to investigate whether than has been a leak. The only way to stop leaks is to prosecute the leakers.

The correct answer would be to simply say, I work for Trump. What I discuss behind closed doors is between Trump and myself. That includes conversations I have with third parties on his behalf.

If other officials have disclosed what was discussed behind closed doors, they need to hand in their resignations.

More leaks from the Deep State most likely. Remember that Obama signed an order to release all of the Trump team’s surveillance information from the NSA etc. for review.

Who knows what really was said and in what context? After the stunt that was pulled with the golden showers, I believe nothing until I hear it or see it directly, and know who produced it, given that the Intelligence Services are good at faking things.

The transition team should be able to talk to the other leaders to prevent nuclear war shouldn’t they?

I just assume any story from unnamed sources is a lie these days and the media peddling it is fake news.

Like Obama speaking with Iran?

There has been renewed interest in the Logan Act in 2015 as the result of a letter signed by 47 U.S. Senators to Iran suggesting that negotiations about a nuclear deal between the President and the Iranian leadership would be an executive agreement that another President or Congress would be able to abrogate. Some have raised questions about the constitutionality of the act, whether it applies to Members of Congress, and its current viability. Commenters have provided arguments that both support and oppose the legality of the Senators’ letter.
