I remember my Grandmother, who was from the South, saying “That is enough to feed Coxey’s army” or “There are enough of them to make up Coxey’s army”, etc. But she died before I could ask her who Coxey was. Her accent or pronunciation might have distorted what I heard.

Do you know who “Coxey” was?

Coxey’s army was a group of unemployed protestors who marched on Washington but it was decades after the civil war...
