White House press secretary Sean Spicer called on McCain to apologize for his comments.
"The life of chief Ryan Owens was done in service to his country and we owe him and his family a great debt for the information we received during that raid. Any suggestion otherwise is a disservice to his courageous life and the actions he took. Full stop," Spicer said.
The senator rejected a call Wednesday from White House press secretary Sean Spicer to apologize for his remarks.
"I don't need to listen to that. My record speaks for itself," he said.

McCain took money from Hillary’s campaign, according to leaked emails from within her campaign, wherein she said McCain and Graham were “onboard” against Trump, i.e., received $$$ under the table.
I feel sorry for McCain, despised by most Republicans and a convenient pawn for the Democrats.
He must be choking down bile every night before he goes to bed a loser in 2008 whose staff quit his campaign before it really even started, and Cindy has the money in the family (daughter of wealthy beer distributor Jim Hensley)...
His own daughter is NO FAN either...
