President Trump's agenda, which is winning public support, is doing wonders for congressional approval ratings, now at the highest level since Barack Obama was in his first year in office.

A new Gallup survey revealed a one-month 12 point surge to 28 percent and a massive 50-point approval rating among Republicans apparently satisfied with House and Senate efforts to back up the president.

I approve of setting them all on fire? Meaningless polls.

Couldn’t agree more.

I still see those numbers as more of a reflection on Trump than Congress.

I am not particularly impressed with Congressional leadership right now, what with McConnell and Ryan.

Trump is dragging them along kicking and screaming.

Everyone needs to understand that the Democrat media has shifted its propaganda barrage off of Congress and onto Trump.

These “opinion polls” are nothing more (or less) than bomb damage assessment for the Democrat media

That suggests that roughly 12% of the electorate is susceptible to that media nonsense.

Milton Friedman said that we get good government not by hiring the best people for every position, but by incentivizing average people to do the right thing. A doubled approval rating for Congress may go far in stifling whiny opposition from Republican congressmen.

More like 60%

The initial shift numbers are those most eager to be led

I agree with you. I had that thought too.

Congress hasn’t done anything, so what could account for these numbers?

TRUMP

I think you’re thoughts are accurate.

I still see those numbers as more of a reflection on Trump than Congress.

These polling firms tend to poll liberals in my opinion. This bump could be approval for the obstructionism of the left. But I could care less, Trump gets even one of the tings done he said he would do we will be better off. Heck, even if he spent the next four years golfing we are exponentially better of then if hillary had been elected.

LMAO... so true!

Thanks for your take on the Congress issue too. I hadn’t thought of that angle.

Rather depressing if that were true.
