I am all for hitting back. This “my esteemed colleague” crap is a one way ratchet for people to attack someone politically and instead of fighting back and shoving it in their faces, you roll over and expose your underbelly.
GW Bush did this for eight years, and it drove me crazy.
It is the elitist Senate Country Club equivalent of the southern “bless her heart.....”
