Wasn’t his mother, Marjorie Margolies, the final and decisive vote for WJC’s 1993 budget? I recall the Pubs waving goodbye to her and sure enough, she lost, only serving for 2 years.

Not only was she the tie-breaking vote, she had promised her new constituents during the campaign that she would not raise taxes. She told them that Bill Clinton had promised to do a town-hall in her district to stick up for her vote, which of course he never did, and she was booted in the 1994 shellacking the Dems took.
