Since he was raised in the Epicopal church there is a familiarity that the ritual provides. I don’t here many here at FR demand that Roman Catholics leave their churches.
God meets people where they are and provides a way. I would say that Trump is ample proof of that.
Good point.
FWIW, Gorsuch was raised a Catholic but became an Episcopalian after meeting his British wife while studying at Oxford.
I attend a Catholic church in the Chicago suburbs with an outspoken pro-life, pro-traditional marriage, and anti-Obama pastor.
If Gorsuch attended an Episcopalian church in Colorado with a similarly conservative pastor, I'd have no complaints about his religious faith, and I don't know of any other FReepers who would condemn him for that, either. Not all Episcopalian churches are liberal just because the head of their church worldwide is.
The fact Gorsuch CHOOSES to attend a liberal church in his hometown IS troubling, however. (especially since there is a more conservative Episcopalian church in the SAME town as him!)
