In a rare move, the Senate voted late Tuesday to silence Sen. Elizabeth Warren from speaking out against Sen. Jeff Sessions, President Trumps nominee for attorney general.
The Republican-led Senate voted 49-43 to uphold a floor ruling that Warren (D-Mass.) violated Senate Rule 19 by impugning the character of Sessions during her lengthy speech against his confirmation. A separate vote to allow Warren to continue to speak failed effectively silencing the outspoken progressive from continuing her anti-Sessions speech.
The dust-up on the Senate floor began shortly before 7 p.m. when Warren took the microphone to make a long, impassioned speech on why Sessions shouldnt be confirmed as attorney general. She read from past statements from critics who successfully opposed his 1986 nomination for a federal judgeship over concerns he was racially insensitive.
She earned a warning by 7:20 p.m. from the presiding Senate leader Montana Sen. Steve Daines when she quoted Sen. Ted Kennedy as calling Sessions a disgrace. He reminded her of Rule 19, which says a senator shall not impute another senators conduct or motives.
Warren was permitted to continue, but got in hot water again for reading a 1986 letter from Coretta Scott King that opposed Sessions.
By 7:47 p.m., Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell interrupted Warren.
The senator has impugned the motives and conduct of our colleague from Alabama, as warned by the chair, McConnell said.

If Mrs. Milton was anything like Mrs. Socrates.
She is a sneaky lying B—tch. If she went unchallenged then any senator could disrespect any other senator by simply quoting someone. She knew the rules and tried to get around them. It is people like Warren, Booker, Reid, Waters, Pelosi, etc who had totally destroyed the political conversation in this country.
Rule 19 is a counterweight to the rule, in law, that otherwise defamatory statements are privileged when made by legislators during legislative debates. Congress doesn’t want members taking advantage of this immunity to slander each other, so such statements have been made a violation of Congress’s own rules. Quoting defamatory statements by somebody else - even Coretta Scott King — is no exception.
That is Iron eyes Cody , Sicilian American actor specializing in portraying native Americans

Fauxahontas once again proving what at NAAAAAAAsteeeeee
Woman she is. We all know how much her “Nasty Woman Vote”” speeches worked out for Cankles, don’t we? LMAO.
Is that the guy who cried on that commercial from the 70s? Iron Eyes Cody is actually a Sicilian-American who played the part of Native Americans. Soooo technically, that is a white dude cause his parents were Sicilian immigrants (Italian).
The actor who played the Indian from that old commercial was a white man, both of whose parents were born in Italy. He is no more “native” than is Senator Warren.
It’s disgraceful this moonbat is an actual Senator. She always looks like she’s one pill shy on her medication.
“...even shorter than her time living in a teepee.” The only Tee pee she ever saw was after drinking a lot of iced tea. It was “Tea pee.”
Does NBC stand for the National Biscuit Company or the National Bull-shit Consortium?
However the senate leadership chooses to word it, I heard them say, “Shut the f*ck up, you miserable bastard!”.
LOL. Then its a perfect picture for Liz.
Hey Nineteen
Don’t underestimate the rage of scorned feminazi fangtooth carpet munchers. She is angry with the world, with men and with herself for being an angry shrew.
Silencing Italians? The pic is “Iron Eyes” Cody, an Italian dressed up as a wahoo. Made a good living at it for many years.
