Report: Obama Failed to Report Lethal Airstrikes in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan

The U.S. military under former President Barack Obama quietly hid “potentially thousands of lethal airstrikes” from the American public that likely killed hundreds of civilians in war-ravaged Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan, the Military Times has found. An investigation by the news outlet reveals:

The enormous data gap raises serious doubts about transparency in reported progress against the Islamic State, al-Qaida and the Taliban, and calls into question the accuracy of other Defense Department disclosures documenting everything from costs to casualty counts.

The data in question is maintained by the U.S. Air Force. American allies, military analysts, researchers, the media, and independent watchdog organizations seeking to evaluate the conflict’s taxpayer cost, manpower, and casualties rely on these numbers.

A U.S. Air Force-sponsored database available to the public “quietly excluded” at least 456 airstrikes in Afghanistan last year alone.

According to the United Nations, of the 8,397 conflict-related civilian casualties that occurred in Afghanistan between January 1 and September 30, 2016, aerial airstrikes caused at least 292 deaths.

Everytime I see a picture of that P.O.S., I’m reminded of how glad I am that he’s no longer the President.

I’m reminded how happy he’d be in prison.

I don’t know how happy Obama would be in prison, but I do know that I would be VERY happy to see him there.I suspect that more than half of the country feels like I do.

Democrats and war, ugly things... Especially since the journalists will actively cover for them.

Meanwhile, if a Republican is in charge, every little move is nitpicked. Even a banner on an Aircraft carrier...

Trump was once again proven right. There are “killers” amongst us; those that order our troops to the attack, many of whom collaterally were civilians. And all in secret while claiming his Admin (Obama’s) was the most transparent of all. What a joke. All’s fair in love and war; it’s just that Obama was such a hypocrite about his own actions.

As again appears in the below quote from the article, I always like to note that the clear and obvious reading of Articles 28 and 29 of the Fourth Geneva Convention is ignored whenever civilian deaths are discussed. The Taliban are responsible for any civilian deaths in areas where they operate. Those civilians qualify as Protected Persons within the enemy’s physical control, and cannot be used to render certain points and areas immune from military operations. So many of our troops have been crippled or killed, because administrations have not been willing to adhere to that principle.

Since we’re on the subject of things BO did while in office, what ever happened to the $1 million gift he received from the Nobel Peace Prize folks? Did he turn it over to the State Department because it was a gift to the President of the United States of America? He also needs to turn over the medal, for the same reason.
