UN Gay Rights Envoy: Religious Freedom ‘Not an Absolute Right’

The United Nations envoy for gay rights has declared that when there is a clash between homosexual rights and religious liberty it must be recalled that “freedom of expression and religious freedom are not absolute rights and may be limited if necessary.”

In a recent public consultation, the UN’s newly appointed “independent expert” on the defense of LGTB rights, Vitit Muntarbhorn, said that negative moral judgments on homosexual activity were a recent phenomenon, stemming from “colonial law.”

It’s time to bring back real philosophy, including the study of natural rights. The Ctrl-Left “philosophy” is destroying the West, and we need to make sure our kids understand why the big government thugs are wrong. That’s what I did with my kids. They read Locke, the Federalist Papers, and the rest as teenagers, and none have gone over to the dark side, despite attending elite colleges.

The solution would be simple if Congress has the cajones to do it. Rework the Circuits and move half to two thirds of the judges in what is now the Ninth Circuit into other circuits just by redrawing the lines and make the judges move from where they sit (San Francisco) to someplace they do not want to sit (Salt Lake City). Look for mass retirements and resignations.
