Assembly Democrats push for New York as a sanctuary state

The New York Assembly moved Monday to establish New York as a sanctuary state, but the measure faces an uncertain future in the state Senate.

Assembly Democrats are backing measures that would give the entire state sanctuary status for immigrants.

I don’t know what happens if the blue states start doing this. Look where we are, one state (AZ) gets smacked down but good when they try to enforce immigration laws then blue states start ignoring them and they may well get away with it. Wow just wow.

"Sanctuary States" is de facto secession, claiming that the laws of the United States no longer apply there. Secession is unconstitutional.

From the looks of things, the Republicans still have a solid majority (31/24) in the NY State Senate, so good luck with this legislation.

I think they should do it....invite them all...pay their bills....free medical...free college....what the hell....give them free houses too....

just make all state govt retirees live in NYS.....or forfeit their fat pensions...

I want the Feds to be able to roll tanks into Albany just like they'll be able to roll into Sacramento, and arrest the governors and legislators for Federal insurrection.
