The BBC has raised eyebrows for its "lack of impartiality" in describing John Bercow's bid to stop Donald Trump speaking in Parliament as "magisterial".
Current affairs programme Newsnight also set the Speaker of the Commons' comments, in which he accused the US president of racisim and sexism, to the soundtrack of the patriotic hymn Jerusalem.
Ending Monday evening's show with a clip of Mr Bercow's speech, presenter Naga Munchetty said: "He was asked about the prospect of Donald Trump addressing Parliament during his upcoming state visit. The Speaker's response was typically magisterial."

There are people who think the BBC is impartial?
I doubt that, more likely they are getting tired of it and finally voicing their objections. Not very British of them, I might add. Perhaps President Trump has also provided them a voice and the courage to fight back with, finally.
I have noticed BBC is going more and more into the Fake News and always has a few Fake stories that attack Trump
The BBC is not “Biased”.
It is an advocacy group for anything that leads further to the left.
And has ALWAYS been anti-American. I know. I lived there.
BBC = Bolsheviks Broadcasting Crap
F^ck ‘em.
No trade agreements with the UK, let ‘em hang in limbo.
Um, most people in Britain are in favour of Trump’s visit. I’m sure you wouldn’t have appreciated being judged as an American on the basis of your previous moron of a president. It’s not like your country doesn’t have it’s fair share of virtue signalling leftist morons in the legislature.
Obviously it isn't - but its supporters will insist it is, so that is why those who want it to stick to its charter or suffer the consequences need to make sure they do jump on ever single clear incident where that charter is violated. This one is clear enough, it's hard to deny so people will focus on it.
“Um, most people in Britain are in favour of Trumps visit.”
Fine.
Will he get to speak in the same place Obama did? Or in some lower back-alley.
“Im sure you wouldnt have appreciated being judged as an American on the basis of your previous moron of a president.”
Agree. But it happens just the same, Anti-Americanism runs rampant across Europe, regardless of what we do.
We fought a 50 year cold war, at a cost of hundreds of billions and don’t even have the goodwill of those western countries we saved. Seeking international approval is futile.
Honestly and no offense, I truly believe I speak for 10 of millions of Americans when I state that I’m sick and tired of Europe, Europeans, the Middle East, Muslims, Global Warming and the UN, etc. etc.
Time to build a Wall.
If you (UK) support Trump, great, if you don’t, so what.
I no longer care either way.
We’re going to act in our own interests. What the UK/Europe/UN likes or dislikes is no longer relevant.
May I remind you that the UK has been a staunch US ally for over 70 years, and was the first to support the US following the 9-11 attacks. I hardly think it is fair to judge the whole of Britain because we have left wing globalist politicians, it’s not like your country doesn’t have it’s own regressive left scum, including that former president of yours that tried to threaten my countrymen into voting to remain in the EU to further the aims of US citizen George Soros and co.

I’m not judging you. I’m stating that We Trump voters are sick and tired of Foreign Entanglements. We were warned about them a long time ago and we’ve lost our way.
If you like us, fine, if you hate us, fine. Again we’ll act in our own interests.

My advice to the UK: Build a Wall.
