As near as I can tell, a lot of this opposition is from Teacher’s Union-funded Senators who fear DeVos isn’t pro-public school (i.e., supports private schools) enough.
Been watching C-SPAN some today. Am sick and tired of seeing the partisan obstruction the democrats are doing on every cabinet nominee. Warren and her war party are a joke and treasonous in their motives. It has nothing to do with the individual nominee be everything to do with obstruction of orderly senate actions for partisan reasons.
I read that post as well but can find no other source to confirm it. It would be front page news, would it not? If Murkowski/Collins switched?

Yes, Lindsay. I got curious about all this hype about De Vos being in trouble and googled her and Graham, thinking that if Graham supported her, then McCain’s also likely to and she’s likely to be confirmed. Bingo!! I came up with this.

The next to the last paragraph tells the tale ...... now let’s hope it doesn’t happen. The Dems have made it their mission to deny Trump at least ONE cabinet position & this one seems to potentially be the “easiest” right now.
He’ll be in no later than 30 hours after DeVos is in.
