Death threats are certainly possible, but if so, they could have used his skills inside the wire in some related capacity.

My money says his abrupt departure was politically motivated. Implied in his contract if not expressly set out is that publicly denouncing U.S. policy is grounds for immediate termination. Even though his argument would seem to support Trump's immigration "pause", DOD certainly did not want the blowback from his video, nor the task of explaining to the admin why they were unable to control this guy.

This is just an illustration of the intolerance that exists among this population-not just the terrorists. The press is reporting dishonestly in calling this a travel ban. I read the Executive Order. I would describe it as a pause on issuing new visas/travel credentials.

The law requires an in-person interview. Obama had waived that with his executive order. The law is to be fully implemented. Since these countries are in rubble, and people have little to no documents, that’s an important requirement.

Any chaos is a result of misleading News Reports, organized protests and legal challenges from the usual suspects, and overzealous interpretation of the order. It was immediately clarified by General Kelly, that green card holders were to be admitted. The Executive order itself lists exceptions for certain visas.

The people caught in flight were segregated, passports/documents reviewed and released within a few hrs. People with appropriate documentation were not barred from entry.

The legal challenges slowed down the circulation of guidance from the department handling the implementation and produced needless confusion.

The purpose is to insure that procedures for issuing visas are adequate and uniform. It gives priority to persecuted minorities (that can be certain sects of Islam as well as Christian or Buddhist etc.).

It provides that the applicant must be free from prejudice of LGBT, and women’s rights (no honor killings for example), and acceptance of the US constitution.

The left allows wholesale invasion of anyone that they perceive as likely to vote for them.
