A good Samaritan was an unwitting getaway driver in a bank robbery after offering a ride home to a man he met in a Columbia tavern Monday.
Greg Kreiser said he was just trying to help out the man when he expressed hesitation about driving after having a few drinks, and didnt mind as the man asked if they could make a few stops on the way.

Had my livery cab parked in a semi bad neighborhood one time waiting for my next call.
Black guy gets in the car. Tells me he’s shot on the side, bleeding. He need to get out of the area. He wasn’t lying. More like a graze but he was bleeding quite a bit.
And either he had a gun or he was happy to see me.
We had a rather pleasant chat about the troubles involved in dating, and I told him he had to get out about a few miles away.
He hesitated but then got out.
I took off and called the cops on a pay phone. Remember those things? :)
Odd night.
Likely story. Kind of reminds me of the pizza driver who claimed bank robbers planted a bomb on him and he had absolutely nothing to do with robbery attempt otherwise. Turned out to be a big lie.
Now this good samaritan driver could be telling the truth, but I’m a little suspicious.
I agree, intuitively, it doesn’t add up. And then, I read the rest of the article and I think, maybe.
If you only knew Columbia, PA, and the denizens thereof.
I watched my neighbor give a ride to to a couple of car thieves whose stolen car had lost a wheel down the road a piece. He had no idea he was aiding their escape.
That’s crazy man.
You just automatically assume that anyone in that situation asking for a ride in NYC is up to something. Even on staten island.
You don’t offer a ride to strangers.
I called the police as soon as I saw them walking down the road. They waved to me as they got in the car. Lol
