Trump Defends "Killer" Putin: "We've Got A Lot Of Killers - You Think Our Country's Innocent?"
Zero Hedge ^ | 02/05/17 | Tyler Durden

In a Fox News interview set to air at 4pm on Sunday, just ahead of the Superbowl, and which is sure to unleash a fresh firestorm of accusations that president Trump is a Kremlin puppet, the US president will defend Vladimir Putin on national TV, saying he respects the Russian leader and accusing the US of not being as innocent as it may seem.

In the interview, Bill O’Reilly asked if Trump respects Russian President Vladimir Putin, to which the he replied, “I do respect him. Well, I respect a lot of people, but that doesn’t mean I’ll get along with them.”

After O’Reilly asks why, Trump answers: "He is the leader of his country. I say it’s better to get along with Russia than not, and if Russia helps us in the fight against ISIS – which is a major fight – and the Islamic terrorism all over the world, that’s a good thing. Will I get along with him? I have no idea.”

O'Reilly pressed Trump on his statement, saying, "But he's a killer though. Putin's a killer."

Trump shrugged the comment off, saying: “There are a lot of killers. We’ve got a lot of killers. What, do you think our country is so innocent?”

Prior to Obummer being President, the President of the United States did not demean himself by showing up on talk shows, and news networks for one on ones with “celebrity” news people. You couldn’t turn on the TV without toothy Obummer hogging news channels flashing his pearly whites. Worse was when Michelle hogged the same news channels getting equal time. President Trump should stop dealing one on one with sleazy newsmen. President Trump should limit his talks with newsmen to showing up occasionally to make announcements of national importance from his White House desk or at press briefings at the White House and bring dignity back to the position.

On abortion alone, we’re the top “killer” (MURDERER) in the entire world.

We can waive the damn flag all we want. In the end, God’s vengeance will destroy this Sodomite/Moloch worshipping nation.

If you don’t think so, just look at Ancient Rome, Greece, Egypt, even Israel for actual references. They all participated in the same atrocities that we currently are, though on a much lesser scale.

O’Reilly is about ratings and nothing else. In any interview with Trump, and he’s did it for a year and a half now, he tries to trick him into saying something controversial. He knows the ratings will go up. Trump should have looked at loudmouth and said “how do you know he’s a killer, do you have friends in the Kremlin that keep you appraised.” Then said, “Let’s talk about the Clinton body count! The media would have went crazy,

“You are alone on FR in your opinion of deep CONCERN.”

I doubt that and I sure don’t give a rats ass what you think. He stepped in it, which seems to be a habit of his when he goes one on one with O’Reily. He’s the President of the Unites States and he’s bigger than that.

You are seriously out to lunch. Presently, we the people are in NO condition to go to ‘war’ literally with Putin... And given the blood bath we (compassionate conservatives and progressive liberals) have let loose in the Middle East, Trump is speaking truth.

Now how much of our tax dollars did Obama, haul over literally, to those that seek to destroy US? Get a grip.

Furthermore there is NOT one shred of evidence that Trump had any connections with Putin.

I disagree! I LOUDLY agree with President Trump. Continue to say what you mean and to hell with PC. Perhaps, eventually, Trump will break the LEFT’S stranglehold on Americans when it comes to FREE SPEECH.

There have been a lot of rumors floating around the last few days that major `pizzagate` related arrests are coming this week once Sessions is approved. Up to 70 people including politicians and members of the media. Make up your own mind whether it`s true or not. But if true, this comment could be another instance of Trump trolling the media.

I’m sorry, that was an imaginary MSM attack headline on Trump - I should have used the sarc tag.

“There are a lot of killers. We’ve got a lot of killers. What, do you think our country is so innocent?”

He spoke to all of them, because we are not innocent, as I said.

In fact, we’re guilty.

Does the CIA kill people?

Do drone operators kill people?

Do you understand that he spoke the truth?

The media is going to frame everything he says or does not say as outrage, so might as well speak truth while you can, because America has become a total stranger to truth.

I have no problem with what he said, I agree with it.

We have a number of covert operators who kill bad guys for a living.

Well, we may have lost a few due to Hillary’s recklessness highly classified information.

Nuance is not President Trump’s strong suit. We the people had enough political double speak, tap dancing, pirouetting, pivoting and generally dodging. So we elected Trump.

Our government kills people. We don’t know how many or who they are. We’d probably be a bit stunned if we did.

Putin kills people.

There isn’t much moral equivalence when you compare the US to Russia overall, philosophically. But, when you break it down, you get into some ugly stuff. Is an Obama/Brennan CIA morally superior to a Putin/FSB?

A Trump/Pompeo CIA is going to be a more wholesome creature, no doubt. But, they will still kill people.

Trump was, as usual, blurting out the unvarnished truth. Something I appreciate more than I can say.

I disagree. Saddam had to go. He was working on getting nukes. W’s mistake was thinking we could push Jeffersonian democracy on a bunch of backwards people.

The CIA should have taken Saddam out once we had a western friendly, controllable benevolent dictator waiting in the wings. We should never have allowed a nanosecond of power vacuum time.

Yeah, we’d be forcing our will on another nation. We already did that and we did it all wrong.

Of all the countries in the ME other than Israel, the Iranian people are probably the only ones evolved enough to actually take care of themselves post mullahs.

I absolutely love truth. So I am with you.

If “presidential” means abusing your power but being outwardly polite, screw presidential.

It sounds to me like he wasn’t defending Putin he was defending his intention to communicate with Putin and cooperate where it was mutually beneficial to do so.
