I do hope there's an investigation going on to determine how the Yemeni terrorists learned about the attack. I also wonder if the hasty ban wasn't enforced to keep terrorists who left before the raid from boarding flights from the US.

Not disagreeing with you but,

I would think that on a stone cold moonless night, in the mountains, an Osprey hard landing (AKA crash) would have made a s*** ton of noise. The fact that the troops then had to traverse miles to get to the actual site, would have woke up everybody for miles and given them plenty of time to lie in wait and set up an ambush.
Element of surprise, for this Op, would’ve been paramount. I don’t see how it would/could have been possible to achieve under the circumstances.
