MEXICO CITY Did President Trump threaten to invade Mexico?
That's the question at the heart of the new controversy over the phone call last Friday between Trump and President Enrique Peña Nieto of Mexico, and both sides say the answer is no. Several published accounts mentioned that Trump referred to all the "bad hombres" in Mexico and said that the U.S. military might have to take care of the problem if Mexico's armed forces weren't up to the task.
Mexican officials did not equate that with a threat to deploy south of the border.
"It's absolutely false that the United States president threatened to send troops to Mexico," Peña Nieto's spokesmen Eduardo Sanchez said in a radio interview.

More #fakenews exposed as lies. WINNING!
One of the @hole columnists on the editorial page of our local Gannett newsrag was talking about a trade war with Mexico this morning. Of course, when snowflake libs see the word “war” they freak out.
Thanks for posting this. Now we can use this like a 42 inch Louisville Slugger bat on the Never Trumpsters who posted this bs this week.
Trump did not threaten war with Mexico, U.S. and Mexican officials agree

The sooner Trump and the Mexican pres have a secret meeting the better
Trump needs to mentor this guy
Mexico is learning how corrupt our media is and what Trump has to deal with. Interesting.
Much ado about nothing.
It was never going to be a WAR for God’s sake.
Just a little neighborly excursion ala Pershing in 1916.
I mean, there is precedent after all.
I hope someone is taking notes on all this Fake News for when MSM’s License ,operating permit, etc renewal roles around
Mexico deserves it.
Instead of denying the inevitable, why not start talks on how best to pay for it to save face and money for Mexico? Trump doesn't even need to negotiate with Mexico and could do this without even picking up the phone. Pena will go down in flames if he doesn't come to reality.
Pena is not popular with citizens of Mexico. Mexico is on the verge of a revolution about corruption by cartels and their economy tanking. Our media reports their unrest as protests about gas prices but the price of gas was just the final straw for many that have been unhappy over many issues.
Widespread corruption is coming to light among their leadership and one of the recent issues was when Pena was telling people they had to suck up the price of fuel because the country is broke his wife bought a mansion that cost around 8 million US dollars. Some say to top it off she “may” have used government funds to buy it.
The Mexican people turned a blind eye to Cartels but now are protesting their power in their government and wealth as well. To further confuse the issue the average Mexican protestor thinks the US needs Mexico worse than they need us, and is anti-Trump because of his stance on enforcing our border and immigration law.
In short the Mexican people want Pena to stand up to Trump in a big way, they want everything their way with no compromise. They are like our loony left.
It doesn’t matter anymore whether accusations are true or not. What matters to the Left is that the talking points get out quickly to help scuttle this Presidency. Even if the accusations are proven to be false .... There will be no retraction of the initial charges.
