Click on link to see the companies with products made in the USA.
I have been buying New Balance tennis shoes for years because I understood they may be the only ones to make tennis shoes here. Then I read that they also manufacture overseas. Who knows the story?
They left out Steinway Pianos.
NordicWare - Bundt Cake Pans (invented them), all sorts of other inventions and cooking products. Started off in a garage in 1946.
Some lower end New Balance shoes are made overseas. I have purchased some unknowingly. Still a good brand.
They do have mfg in asia. along with other shoe mfg.
There has been a decades old tariff on running shoes which has helped NB stay in the game.
Believe it started with Reagan.
Bronco's team ended it. NB squealed of course (TPP ?). A deal was reached in where NB would provide all running shoes to the US military if they went along quietly.
NB agreed, and then, guess what, Bronco welched on the deal. White House threw them under the bus.
This was as of last October / November.
info from Howie Carr show when he had the owner of NB on to explain.
Been buying New Balance shoes made in the USA for years. They're the only shoes that I know that hold up or at least a year. You can wash them and let them air dry and they look almost brand new again though you might have to put some sole inserts in. I've had some pairs for years. They last longer than all the other name brands like Nike, Reebok, Adidas, etc...
I’ve been to a New Balance store. They had both usa and chinese made shoes under the New Balance label.
All-Clad cookware from the now red state of PA. I am a devotee of their D5 line!
Ben and Jerry’s is on that list too. They hate America so one still must be more selective than just where something is made.
Alden shoes. Although as they are crafted in Massachussetts, it could be considered a toss-up as to their being made in the USA.
It is going to be really difficult and expensive to find a USA only shoe manufacturer. Maine was a hotbed of shoe manufacturing 35 years ago and now probably 90% of the factories are gone.
New Balance is one of the few who have held on at all. There are certain sectors of the shoe market (low end) now that almost require an offshore factory.

Red Wing boots and shoes are still made in Red Wing, MN. Or at least a lot of them are. Some of their stuff might be from overseas.
I had a pair of their boots from age 18 to my 30’s. Then they got “too expensive” so I bought cheaper ones that wore out. I’m back into Red Wings - I suppose about 7 years now for the same pair of work boots a few times a week.
From what I’ve experienced the cheaper line , mod 475 are made in the USA and fit really well.
The more expensive lines I’ve tried on were made in SE Asia and ill fitting.
I have a 4E foot and the USA built NB shoes were/are perfect.
The SE Asian built seem to run small.
Just my experience.
Maine hunting boot. Made in Maine.
Most excellent.
LLBean
A great choice ;) I believe their canvas bags are made in Maine, also. I still have mine [after heavy, heavy use] that are 40 y/o
I love that their hunting boots can be repaired.
My dad's [RIP] Double Ls were 50 y/o. He kept them nice with *neets foot oil*.
Always had a pair, now they are made by another company.
