Bush avoided stopping it because of Russian truck drivers, reportedly, and this may help explain why he decided to “just be quiet” about it all - to his political detriment as it turned out the D’s used it against him to great effect. In the current situation we are facing a rabid enemy who continually threatens to nuke us and who obama has protected and funded while it builds its nuclear bombs and icbm delivery missiles. We are in deep doo doo — To quote Bush. Unless disarmed they soon will be able to murder at least fifty or 100 million Americans in a matter of mere minutes or so. Really? To where? And, if wmds were the real reason (which I highly doubt) for attacking Iraq why did we not attack the country to which they went?

Right -- the mythical convoy. Saddam Hussein trucked all of the WMDs out of his country that could have been used to save his own @ss.
