“...we MUST learn from history or else, as we all know, we will be doomed to repeat it...”

Yes, we need to learn from history. In fact, Trump continuously reminded us about bogus “weapons of mass destruction” claims and the complete mess the Bush and Obama administrations made of the Middle East. If Iran attacks first then we should, of course, respond overwhelmingly. However, a “preemptive” attack will have long term results that we can scarcely imagine. But, I can assure you, the results will certainly cost us more blood and treasure than the “cakewalk” in Iraq cost us.

The supposedly bogus wmd’s in Iraq were trucked out by a huge 500 truck convoy. Bush avoided stopping it because of Russian truck drivers, reportedly, and this may help explain why he decided to “just be quiet” about it all - to his political detriment as it turned out the D’s used it against him to great effect. There are others here on FR who can add more info, details about this. In the current situation we are facing a rabid enemy who continually threatens to nuke us and who obama has protected and funded while it builds its nuclear bombs and icbm delivery missiles. We are in deep doo doo — To quote Bush. Unless disarmed they soon will be able to murder at least fifty or 100 million Americans in a matter of mere minutes or so. I vote that we not wait - that we not give them the First Strike advantage. A mess, yes. But DJT has a lot of street cred, so to speak. Let’s see what he can do
