Clinton Team Reportedly Has Someone New to Blame for Election Loss: Barack Obama

As Hillary Clinton and her aides continue to reel from their 2016 election defeat, they have now reportedly decided that former president Barack Obama deserves blame for what happened on November 8.

Ever since the election ended, Democrats have blamed people like FBI Director James Comey and Russian President Vladimir Putin for impacting the election with their respective actions. A new report from Axios’ Mike Allen, however, says that Clinton staffers are angry that Obama didn’t do more to help her deal with things like negative media coverage on her scandals and Russia’s efforts to sway the election.

Here’s what one Clinton official had to say:

“The White House was like everyone else: They thought she’d win anyway. … If he had done more, it might have lessened a lot of aggrieved feelings, although I don’t think it would have altered the outcome. The Russia thing was like a spy novel, and anything he had said or done would have helped get people to believe it was real.”

The reported conclusion among Clinton aides is that Obama should have come to Clinton’s defense earlier, and that he offered an inadequate response to the issues which clouded the public’s judgment. One Obama aide told Allen that the White House took a cautious approach to Russia because they didn’t want voters to think they were politicizing Russia’s hacking.

You offered a defective criminal candidate who had no real program to offer Americans.

Will Hillary and her people ever understand that Hillary is a lousy candidate??

All this casting about for scapegoats and administering blame misses a major point. And that point is that Hillary is an unlikeable politician. She does not speak well, and does not inspire anyone with her speeches or positions on issues. She has no rationale in running for office, besides some vague notion that she’s Bill Clinton’s wife and if you liked him you should like her too. And she’s a woman; don’t you want to see a woman president??? Face it she’s a lousy candidate. As hard as that is for people in Hillaryland to contemplate.

The “source” admits here that whatever Obama might have done differently to help Hillary! wouldn’t have affected the outcome of the election.

I’m trying to keep track, but it’s hard:

Obama’s inadequacy and impotence elected Trump.

Tim Kaine gave Hillary Virginia, but he also elected Trump.

White women elected Trump.

The Russians elected Trump.

Racists elected Trump.

Sexists elected Trump.

Rural voters elected Trump.

The working class voting against their own interests elected Trump.

Fake news elected Trump.

Facebook elected Trump.

Supermarket tabloids elected Trump.

Celebrity (The Apprentice) elected Trump.

White male resentment elected Trump.

Over-shaming Trump supporters elected Trump.

Rejecting Bernie elected Trump.

Reagan democrats elected Trump.

Gary Johnson and Jill Stein voters elected Trump.

Backlash against political correctness elected Trump.

FBI Director Comey elected Trump.

There are many terrible reasons for President Trump’s victory, but there are two things that were not a factor. First, Hillary was the perfect candidate; nothing she did harmed her candidacy in any way. Second, President Trump was the worst candidate imaginable; nothing he did helped his candidacy at all, except with racists, sexists, bigots, and the rest of the basket of deplorables.

"... Obama should have come to Clinton’s defense earlier..."

What defense would that be....Hillary and her spouse have been recognized criminals for a very long time....it is a pretty good guess that half the Democratic/Progressive/Socialist party was in bed with them...even never-take-the-blame-Obama.

the white house thought it was in the bag! valjar’s mistake in protecting Bathhouse Barry’s ‘legacy’ is that she didn’t push crazy Uncle Joe Biden harder to run, he probably would have if his son hadn’t passed...

“Now that 0bama passed up his chance to pardon her, the gloves come off.”

The Supreme Court has held that acceptance of a presidential pardon is the same as an admission of guilt. That admission of guilt would have opened Hillary up to endless lawsuits which she had already, by accepting the pardon, lost. It would have devastated the political power and the money of the Clinton brand. She is better off taking her chances that Trump won’t go after her.

I am still waiting for the various states where the foundation fraudulently conducted business to sue her. There is well over a billion dollars up there for the taking by the first AG to hit them hard.

Re : Post #11 Translation: He didn’t issue Hillary (and Bill?) an unconditional pardon before leaving office. Yes. Exactly. Maybe you should contact Team Trump, to offer your services as BS translator? HA!

Yes. Pat was ahead of his time. Read “The Great Betrayal “ - also “The Death of the West” - it’s all there.

Indeed. The ability of the Establishment Media to kill Pat Buchanan’s candidacy shows how powerful the mediacracy was.

0bama left office pretty popular with approval ratings near 60%. His high popularity should have been a boos to Hillary.

I think it shows you what many people though of Hillary when a popular President campaigning for her couldn’t her her.

Know who elected Trump? Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania. Three states that Hillary probably would have won if she made an effort to get out of bed and go there. Instead she went to California, got trashed, stayed in bed for a week then did the same thing in NY.

The only person that Hillary should blame for losing is Hillary. But, now I get why all the snowflakes are lunatics. This was the biggest psychological groupthink exercise in the history of mankind and like everything democrats touch, they screwed it up with no mitigation strategy to talk the useful idiots off the ledge.

Get rid of the Clintons, like the R's got rid of the Bushs. But they won't listen, they put all their eggs in the Obama basket and now they are out of power across the nation, I am sure they will insist on a rematch and run her ass again.

With the D's inability to understand unintended consequences, even in the simplest of moves, changing Senate rules on the nuclear option on circuit court judges, they screwed themselves. Now the R's have 100 lower circuit judge seats to fill and all on a 51 vote majority, stupid is as stupid does.

I would like to see the Bush Clan disappear from national politics. The same for the Clinton Crime Family, the Obamas, and even Team Trump (after 2024). This is America, and we should avoid dynasties rather than milking the reputations of bygone eras for the name recognition alone. I’m okay with them serving in local office or on entertainment TV, but we can and should do better when it comes to national politics.
