Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos on the cancellation of his speech at UC-Berkeley after riots broke out, saying the progressive left fears anyone with different political views and he's shocked at how oppressive higher education US campuses can be.

Milo says that UC Berkeley is blaming him for the violence committed against him. No law enforcement was present. Comments on YT include: "This isn't a University, this is a domestic terror cell." "It's time to designate the democrat party as a terrorist group". Unbelievable.

I can’t say I disagree with Milo on this. Check out the Antifa and what THEY stand for.

I could have told you this a LONG time ago after years of public school teaching. They are ruthless and it is forever. One side or the other has to win. We can NOT continue like this. No more compromise remains.

A quote I like from another thread:

“When you tear out a man’s tongue, you are not proving him a liar, you’re only telling the world that you FEAR what he might say.”

You don’t see conservatives smashing and burning conservative cities every time some idiot on the left says something obnoxious.

I like how I’m hearing the ‘Left’ far more than progressive/liberal lately. Taking back back the language!

This is an exchange I had today with a liberal. In hindsight the only thing I did in writing him was being “too long” as in this era of tweets and mass information we got to keep things more simple/straightforward to be understood.

I wrote:

Do you have any idea how the anti-temporary-ban protesters look?

1. Obama State Department, DHS, and Intel agencies allow many loose security/process standards to fester. Example: Hillary home email server processing Top Secret documents not only happens but goes unmitigated for a long time.
2. Obama leadership determines 7 countries of particular concern.
3. Trump admin comes in & remembers what happened during the transition year of 2001 with 911.
4. Trump puts a temporary ban in place for these countries.
5. Many people lie in calling it a “Muslim Ban”, calling people in favor of security “bigots”, etc. and ignoring the facts.
6. In the meantime while DHS is getting better vetting processes in place, Trump is coordinating with leaders in Saudi Arabia, Russia, etc. on establishing safe zones in some of these countries, such as Syria and Yemen, where they can setup refugee camps for those seeking freedom from the woes of those countries.

I definitely concede this. If they never get a fair vetting process in place within the next few months for these 7 countries (and others that should be determined of being of particular concern) then I will be concerned. Such refugee camps would be great places for people to be well-vetted to ensure they are committed to upholding/defending the US constitution, separation of church/state, and the principles that American schoolchildren learn about responsible citizenship. Another thing that would be very helpful is to have letter writing campaigns done by American citizens on behalf of people they personally know and can vouch for who are trying to get into the USA & to have these letters included with their applications for adjudication by consular officers at these refugee camps. I’d personally like to see more refugees come in from Syria than what Obama/others were asking for as I think 80%+ of the people now in Syria would make excellent additions to our country. The only ones I’d want kept out are the ones who truly are high risk of doing jihad.

Most people, a big majority, approve of the President’s effort on this subject. And his opponents are losing ground every day as they are just shooting themselves in the foot :(

His response:

You are totally and abjectly lost. You will ask me to spend a lot of effort and time to “prove” an argument to you, without having the slightest awareness that you are beyond proof and argumentation.

I know enough about the state of mind you have fallen into to be sure not to say much after the bottom drops out. Doing so will serve no purpose, because people who can fall for a Trump in the first place have very little chance of ever losing their deludability and vulnerability to the militarist-authoritarian mental illness.

I am going to leave you alone to enjoy your delusion.

What makes this interesting is that with the damage done....you have to expect tuition to nudge up $300 to $500 a year to cover costs. All they did....was to hurt themselves and those who come after them. They have no grasp of consequences.

I’m grateful the press is calling them ‘leftists’ instead of ‘liberal.’

I really think you are talking to a robot. You are wasting your effort on an automatically-generated non-argument. There is probably no human being involved at all.

I think we’re all beginning to see that Michael Savage was right, and liberalism is a mental disorder. There is an inherent immaturity, arrogance and ignorance embedded in the mindset of the left. I too, as you have, tried in vain to debate logically with the left. It is futile. Assimilation is their agenda - with “us” changing our “wrong thinking” so we no longer are “delusional.” (Yes, those words actually were said to me.)

I used to think this kind of thinking was just for science fiction movies - little did I know it was to become our reality.

All out cities would be smouldering ash heaps years ago if we burned just one building every time a leftist said something obnoxious or fascist in nature.

Someone with a lot of money is funding these anonymous young men dressed head to toe in black, who travel around the country and engage in rioting and mayhem.

This has Soros written all over it. The man needs to be arrested.

Me either. I did not write it and the post it was in was in quotes. I do not know who wrote it, but it is good & I wanted to share it.

It would not even bother me if Obama said it - too bad he couldn’t live up to it!

Something I tell people like that: You guys better learn to engage in the arena of ideas, or get used to 8 years of Trump, and decades of ‘Trumpism’. That means: 1. make a cogent response to a point made by a sincere interlocutor, and 2. stop insulting and saying racist every other sentence.
