So much for the boycott strategy.

It was bizarre seeing all the empty seats for the vote. Save that photo for the next election to show how peoples elected officials act like children.

Basically the dems are x-ing themselves out of government... like Charlie Manson, during his trial: “I am x-ing myself from your world...”
They should carve the letter x in their foreheads, the way Charlie did.

It’s time for the filibuster to go.
Every nominee and bill should receive an up-or-down vote. The electorate will have a chance to correct the mistakes.
This will also make it unsafe to vote Democrat thinking that process will stop them from pursuing their kookier goals.

Democrats are being exposed as infants who can’t be trusted with power.

Mitch McConnell should have about a dozen Republican over-the-rainbow bills ready to bring to the floor, lying in wait for the day when Democrats boycott floor proceedings as well. We could shift Social Security to a fully funded, personal investment account basis; repeal and replace Obamacare; pass a national right-to-work bill; abolish the Department of Education and convert its funding into block grants to support full school choice ... and then take a coffee break at 10:00 a.m. before coming back for more. I like Democrat walkouts. Is there anything we can do to encourage more?

At least some Republicans are starting to have some backbone.
