We need to stage an event like this to bring out those black bloc punks, and then surprise ‘em with a few hundred trained cops or soldiers. Haul them all off for some ‘enhanced interrogation.

Much as I would love to see on the news a video of riot troops chasing a bunch of rainbow-flag perverts, Communist sympathizers and petty criminals down the street, pounding on and then arresting anyone they can catch, the sad truth is that way too many of my countrymen are a bunch of total lilly-livered cowards when it comes to law enforcement. And that’s putting it nicely.
Trump already has good reason to worry about a leftist coup attempt without something like that sending a lot of people over to support such an attempt because otherwise they quietly support Trump but their little hearts bleed like a fountain for criminals and ‘free speech’.

Starbucks and surrounding businesses and residents may sue the City for “Maintaining a Public Nuisance”; each as an individual in Small Claims Court for the maximum of (IIRC) $5000 in damages. Yeah, $5000 ain’t much, but multiply it by 50 plaintiffs and it starts to rack up pretty quickly.
And that doesn’t begin to dip into the massive Civil Class Action that needs to be brought by people who suffered violence and disruption of their plans. Name the City, The Police Department, ascertain the specifics of which Officers were on-scene, and name them as individuals (deriliction), name The University, The Chancellor, The Board of Regents and sue in a massive civil action for $2M per plaintiff.

I spent some time switching among FNC, CNN and PMSNBC over the last couple of hours. Not a word about the Berserkley riots, even on the crawler at the bottom of the screen.
IMO Trump and republicans need to call on law enforcement to arrest these brownshirts and file felony riot charges from this point forward.

They literally cannot exist without those Federal funds, they are that dependent on them. Withhold the funds AND jail rioters!

UC Berkeley, like most if not all UC campuses, has its own Police Department. Their police chief, Margo Bennett, is a lefty with a truly bizarre back story, and I doubt the UCPD would lift a finger for free speech...

It was a standard tactic of Bolsheviks who were trying with substantial success to take over Germany (and the rest of the world, through subversion) in the early 1920s. (In Germany) they beat up any and all crowds who gathered for political speeches of their opponents.
This made opposition impossible, as there was no radio or TV then, and the newspapers were under leftist control. Many German cities became ruled by “soviets”.
After they pulled this tactic one time on the nascent National Socialist German Workers Party (Nazis), its leader, a decorated veteran of the recent world war, gathered some of his fellow veterans together to meet the Marxists with their own medicine the next time they tried it. PROBLEM SOLVED. (This group became known as the Brownshirts.)

Easy federal money does the following:
1. drives up school cost (No matter how much the price goes up, the feds will pay.)
2. leads to people taking worthless classes because it is free.
3. leads to more people getting indoctrinated and radicalized.
4. destroys once-great institutions.
5. leads to more Leftists, and the decay of western civilization.
