These Islamic scholars at CNN really ought to actually study the Qu’ran and the Hadith as many of us FReepers have done. They might sound a little less foolish.
Their lies only sound foolish to the informed. To the average viewer ex-Pres. Bush and his "Religion of Peace" meme have taken hold in their minds and can only be replaced by knowledge of the truth concerning islam - in other words, for most of them, it ain't gonna happen.

I also found The Qu’ran Dilemma to be an excellent guide. It’s a beautiful book, each verse is annotated with easily understood explanations and history.
In my opinion, it’s incumbent upon all of us to educate ourselves about the truth about Islam.
